Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Apply a rough surface finish to medical devices by grit blasting per established procedures and engineering drawing.
Perform cleaning operations to medical devices by per established procedures.
Apply the porous coating powder to the medical devices and perform "clean-up" by trimming, scrapping and removing powder from areas that do not require coating. Note
- Tasks requires strong hand detail work with the use of hand tools as well as a strong attention to detail.
Visually inspect product for obvious defects and conformity to engineering drawing and DJO visual standards detailed in Material Specifications (MS) and Inspection Procedures (IP).
Inspect product per work order instructions, established procedures, and engineering drawing using a comparator, calipers, and other basic measuring tools.
Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to disposition non-conforming product and enter Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR) when they arise.
Maintain Porous Coating equipment (i.e. ultrasonic cleaner, grit blast cabinets).
Perform housekeeping duties as required to maintain area clean. Duties include (by example and not exclusion) mopping/sweeping floors, wiping work surfaces, and trash disposal.
Accurately complete Device History Record and associated paperwork.
Review department checklist to ensure product may be released from the department to go to the next manufacturing department.
Maintain and update production and material control systems (ERP) as needed to ensure proper job and material tracking is maintained.
Performs other duties as assigned by Porous Coating Lead or Manufacturing Supervisor.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Machine Operator P3 rotates through three workstations every two hours. The position operates several machines, runs forklift, moves pallets, labels items for shipment, documents work processes, recycles and cleans equipment in place.
This position requires regular movement of 50lb bags. Day Shift, starting wage is $15.25/hr. This is a full--time, benefit eligible position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: + Operates several machines. Knows all safety aspects of the machine, recognizes any abnormalities in machine operations, and makes adjustments as needed.
Runs forklift, moves pallets, wraps pallets using a pallet wrapper, moves inventory and takes out recycling on a regular basis. Also uses hand tools and prepares items for shipment.
Responsible for CIP (Clean in Place) and COP (Clean Out of Place) by washing and sanitizing the entire production area one day per week or as needed. Breaks down specific equipment for COP wash/sanitizing.
Adheres to all policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices and safety procedures. Takes samples and accurately completes required documentation.
Education and Experience: + Requires: High School diploma, GED, or the equivalent; and one year of heavy production experience.
- Desirable: food industry experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: + Requires the ability to read and interpret documents, follow SOPs, basic math skills, a mechanical aptitude, attention to the detail and the ability to communicate professionally.
