Qualifications + 10+ years of management consulting, advisory, professional services, industry and/or Big 4 consulting experience + Experience developing and growing accounts with public sector clients + Experience in delivering expert solutions and methodologies to existing and new client accounts + Running projects and managing teams; and delivery experience driving desired business outcomes, identifying gaps and omissions, and designing solutions + Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university

Senior Director Of Run Cutting And Scheduling

Overview Transdev is the largest private sector operator of multiple modes of passenger transit in North America, providing bus, rail, paratransit, shuttle, sedan and taxi services. We manage over 200 transportation contracts for cities, transit authorities and airports, providing safe and sustainable mobility solutions. Our mission is to improve public transportation, to enhance quality of life and combat global warming. The Senior Director of Run Cutting and Scheduling serves as an integral member of the Operational Performance Team. Supports the Vice President of Performance Management by managing the Scheduling and Run Cutting team and ensuring that they deliver timely and efficient Run-cuts to the local General Managers, while respecting the local Collective Bargaining agreements and working collaboratively with the local General Managers.

Responsibilities + Properly managing the company’s run-cutting resources to provide Run Cutting and Scheduling guidance to the run-cut team, based on solid transportation operating knowledge (Fixed Routes and Paratransit), to ensure maximum efficiency on each run-cut performed.

  • Ensure that every California Run-cut is 100% Wage Order 9 compliant and to run-cut always thinking about how to limit actual Wage Order 9 violations in the field during the Service Day.

  • Ensures that run-cuts are compliant with local wage and hour laws, as well as local Collective Bargaining Agreement’s (CBA’s).

  • Produce the Master run-cut statistical data spreadsheet, for each run-cut performed and communicate on efficiencies.

  • Supports Region and Business Development Department in bidding and re-bidding activities by ensuring that Business Development (BD) pricing run-cuts are delivered on a timely basis.

  • Assists with evaluation, recommendation, development, and implementation of transit related software tools and Hastus upgrades.

  • Manages to ensure the run-cutting team gets the appropriate continuous training on the Hastus Software product, including upgrades, and coordinates the training based on run-cutter’s workload.

  • Interface with other corporate support groups/personnel as necessary to assist operating personnel in achieving performance and profitability targets as related to Driver Scheduling (e.g. support Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiation on work-rule changes, etc.) + Directly perform runcuts as needed, as well as manage the Transdev run-cutting team of 4 employees.

  • Performs other duties and activities as assigned.

QualificationsEducation, Licensing, and Certifications: + Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Planning, Operations Management or IT related field. An acceptable combination of education and experience may be substituted. Skills and Knowledge (Required):

  • Ability to produce efficient run-cuts.

  • Ability to manage the delivery of run-cuts in a very time sensitive environment.

  • Ability to build trust in the field with local staff through integrity, respect, and effective communication and timely delivery of Run-Cuts.

  • Possess strong organizational, presentation, and communication skills (both oral and written).

  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and accurately with little direct supervision.

  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to anticipate changing requirements and serve as a change agent within the organization.

  • Detail oriented, with excellent follow-up skills.

  • Ability to solve problems in a practical and pragmatic manner. Skills and Knowledge (Preferred):

  • Ability to understand Hastus Crew Optimization software capabilities and limitations, to effectively manage the run-cutters and the run-cutting process from receiving schedules from our clients, to importing schedules, to producing Driver Bid sheets and Driver rosters.

  • Knowledge of basic Transit related software including but not limited to; TMS, GBM, or Trapeze Blockbuster and Trapeze para-cutter, a plus; Cubic, Avail, GPS, Transtrack, GFI, Navtrak, Clever Devices, and Google Earth, etc.

  • Solid knowledge of Wage Order 9 laws and experience producing effective Runcuts within a Wage Order 9 environment.

  • Ability to manage a team of 4, set deadlines, establish KPI’s and goals + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, preferably with Excel, including import and export functions. Job Description

A successful candidate will be able to produce premium quality, high precision carbide cutting tools using specific tool grinding machines and programs.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability preferred.   • Create Master Programs for all Standard and Modified Standard Endmills.
  • Set-Up, Inspect, Produce Good First Piece & Run Production on drills, keyway cutters, dovetail cutters & reamers.
  • Make basic program and wheel Offsets to drills, keyway cutters, dovetail cutters & reamers.
  • Set-up, Inspect, Produce Good First Piece & Run Production on any complex form tool, complex drill, complex reamer.
  • Set-Up, Inspect, Produce Good First Piece & Run Production on ANY Job that is within machine capabilities.
  • Create Master Programs for ANY cutting tool within software capabilities.

3-5 years experience required.

Certification from a qualified training institution in the field of tool and cutter grinding is ideal but not required. Extra consideration for certification from companies such as: Star, Numroto, Rollomatic, Walter, Reinecker, etc.

Must be very comfortable navigating any Windows based computer program, Virtual Grind Pro, and/or Numroto programs.

Die Cutting Trainee Opportunity 2Nd And 3Rd Shift

Job Description

2nd and 3rd Shift Positions available for Die Cutting Floor Help.

The employee who occupies this position is expected to assume any/all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in this list. Assist with the Make Ready on the Die Cutter. Adjust cutter to accommodate for new sheets being cut. Set Feeder, Lock Up Die, Set Stripper, Blanker, Set Delivery. Will work with operator to monitor for quality of each load. Prepare sheets for job for efficient flow through die cutter. Prepare loads (Aerator) and Place loads from the holding area into the cutter by use of hand truck. Preparation of tooling as needed, Rubber Dies in Die Room, Return tooling to proper location, Assist with maintenance of the cutters. Maintain a clean and safe working area, responsible for cleaning and sweeping of cutting dept. after each shift. Communicate with other teams in a positive manner. Adherence to cutting operating standards. Follow all department safe work practices using all required PPE Perform any additional requirements specified by area managers.

Working knowledge of machinery and mechanical aptitude a pluss. Training will be provided on the job. Must be flexible and able to work other shifts, overtime and Saturdays when needed
