Under the direction and supervision of the Sub-Chief of Physical Medicine, utilizes acupuncture to stimulate certain points on or near the surface of the body by the insertion of needles to prevent or modify the perception of pain or to normalize physiological functions. This position is primarily responsible for providing individual Traditional Chinese Medicine consultations and acupuncture sessions to IHH clinic patients. This position works under the clinical supervision of the IHH medical physician and under the administrative supervision of the IHH Regional Manager.

This position works in collaboration with all other practitioners of the IHH clinics to provide exceptional integrative medical care to all patients. This position also collaborates with the other IHH acupuncturists to implement and sustain best practices in the area of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Provides appropriate body acupuncture to patients during private, one-on-one sessions. Takes medical histories in accordance with the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Creates a healing environment of care for patients, including compliance in areas such as hygiene, needle disposal and patient safety in accordance with SMF and Sutter standards. Participates as a member of the Clinical Services Team and provides Chinese Medicine recommendations during case conferencing. Able to proficiently use Microsoft Outlook and Word. Education/Certification/Licensure:
