Job Summary
The Operator makes certain the W&D Inserter is set-up and running at optimal efficiency and productivity per the job specifications, including;  ensuring operational, safety and housekeeping procedures and practices are in place and followed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Machine Production

  • Sets up machine per individual job instructions;
  • Runs machine at optimal speed, established by job instructions and meets production standards;

POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position works 4 days a week, 10 hours per day, Sunday and Monday off. 3rd day off rotates in the Tuesday - Saturday schedule. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: + Operates several machines in Plant 3. Knows all safety aspects of the machine, recognizes any abnormalities in machine operations, and makes adjustments as needed.

  • Runs forklift, moves pallets, wraps pallets using a pallet wrapper, moves inventory and takes out recycling on a regular basis. Also uses hand tools and prepares items for shipment.

  • Responsible for CIP (Clean in Place) and COP (Clean Out of Place) by washing and sanitizing the entire production area one day per week or as needed. Breaks down specific equipment for COP wash/sanitizing.

  • Adheres to all policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices and safety procedures. Takes samples and accurately completes required documentation.

Preferred Candidate Qualifications:

Education and Experience: + Typically requires: High School diploma, GED, or the equivalent; and one year of heavy production experience.

  • Desirable: food industry experience preferred.
