The candidate will support applications of current or future technologies and products to existing or new customers through working with the engineering team to clearly understand the needs and requirements. The candidate will engage in efforts to define and design technologies that will support, enhance current products while defining and implementing discriminators for future products in PGSS.
In this role you will:
Prepare and/or direct others in the preparation of integrated flight modeling/simulation, CFD analyses, wind tunnel and flight testing in compliance with Customer specifications.
Verify and validate complex aerodynamic system designs to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements
Work with control dynamics and propulsion systems
Interface thoroughly with engineering team, internal Program and representatives, and our external customers as required
Investigate hardware production and field test anomalies and contribute to assessment of failures in complex and dynamic mixed model product test environments
Compile and analyze test result data for internal and field test hardware to evaluate performance standards and limits for new or existing products.
Assist with system/product integration activities.
Participate in cross functional root cause and corrective action teams when required.
Assist in the preparation and delivery of customer and technical presentations
Aeronautical Engineer
Come be a part of the development of the new Hypersonic Conventional Strike Weapon (HCSW). This new air-launched weapon system will include phases progressing through design, flight test, initial production and deployment of the weapon system. Join the Lockheed Martin team and be a part of the company that has developed and flown more hypersonic vehicles than any other U.S. Company and has decades of hypersonic development and flight test experience from government contracts as well as internal investments in research and development projects.
Develop and perform trade study analyses in conjunction with a conceptual design team. Perform aerodynamic analysis and design using computational fluid dynamics, and perform wind tunnel testing to assess aerodynamic characteristics including control mechanisms as well as aero heating environments for strategic missile systems, hypersonic vehicles, and related components. Define heating environments during ascent and reentry, simulate thermal/material response, perform heatshield and insulation sizing, aerothermal ground test planning/execution/analysis, and component thermal analysis. Perform vehicle flight dynamic analysis, modeling and simulation tasks with the goal of ensuring that a vehicle is capable of finding its way to an intended destination and delivering its payload optimally. Entry level professional.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, or Physics or Mechanical or related Engineering
Background or course experience in any of the following: aerodynamics, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), wind tunnel testing, thermal analysis/design, flight dynamics of aerospace vehicles.
Matlab or other higher-level programming language experience.
Ability to perform in a team environment.
US citizen and must have the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
Desired Skills:
Technical background in missile/reentry/hypersonic analysis and design
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experience, including mesh generation, turbulence modeling, reacting flows and post processing analysis.

Aeronautical Engineer Staff
This position is for an experienced Aeronautical Engineer with Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works® Advanced Development Programs (ADP). The position supports LM Aeronautics
- ADP as an Aeronautical Engineer for the Flight Control and Vehicle Management Systems (FC&VMS) integration team.
This assignment entails the full spectrum of control law development, data analysis, sensor and actuator performance, autopilot simulation, structural mode testing, flight testing, landing gears, actuators, hydraulics, avionics, control modes and support hardware and software integration in SIL.
Tasking will include hands on development and design work, management and coordination of work with equipment vendors, and presentation and coordination with government customers and partners under the general direction of technology roadmap and program leadership.
Under supervision, contribute to aircraft design, configuration development, feasibility and risk analyses from the FC&VMS perspective.
Work simulation refinement, control law design, and analysis efforts for an advanced flight control system.
Work system performance analysis assessments
Support component installation
Design mechanical and electronic interfaces to support software development, integration and test.
Works simulation and integration, also development of pilot training
This assignment involves independent tasking as part of a lean technical team – personal initiative, original and creative problem solving, and the ability to work independently and with little oversight are a must.
Frequent, short, domestic travel can be expected. The applicant will need to pass a program access security background check.

Aeronautical Engineering Associate
Aeronautical Engineer Associate in ADP Advanced Structures and/or Subsystems Installation Design. This is a multidisciplinary role.
Design of composite and metallic structural detail parts, assemblies and installations, as well as, systems installations for aircraft.
Engineer shall be responsible for:
(1) development of layouts, preparation of engineering drawings, planning, scheduling, and coordination of activities with affected organizations,
(2) help in the preparation of work statements, quotes and (engineering design analyses) EDAs to support customer requirements, product improvements and cost reductions, and
(3) support of manufacturing operations and customers in resolving technical problems related to the aircraft structure and systems.
Candidate must be able to coordinate efforts with progressively less supervision across a wide range of functional organizations, such as Planning, Tooling, Stress, Materials & Processes (M&P), Reliability and Maintainability (R&M), Materiel, Flight Sciences, Test, Manufacturing, and other Design Product Focus Teams (PFTs) to ensure that designs meet customer and derived requirements.
Some travel and overtime may be required.
Ideal Candidate would have aerospace design experience with knowledge of configuration management techniques, drafting/drawing conventions, and aerospace specifications and procedures.
Experience with CATIA V5, Kinematics, Electrical, FiberSim, is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint is a plus. Excellent communication, presentation, people and team skills and a proven history of strong work habits and a positive attitude are expected. Prior aircraft experience is desirable and considered a plus.
Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance and special access.

Flight Test Control Engineer
The job is for a Flight Test Control Engineer (FTCE) supporting the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) in Fort Worth, TX. The IFG flight test department supports both F-16 and F-22 developmental and sustainment flight test. This job will concentrate on F-16. The successful applicant will provide flight test modification and ground operations engineering support. Tasks will include directing aircraft modifications, coordination and execution of engineering directed tasks to include ground test, maintenance on test unique hardware, and pre-flight/post-flight activities on testbed aircraft. Position requires control and tracking of aircraft configuration, coordinating and staging of support equipment, developing and maintaining aircraft test schedules, and coordinating with other organizations associated with test readiness.
This position will act as the principal focal point between maintenance and engineering personnel. The ability to interface with all levels of management is required. Above average oral and written communication skills are required. Exceptional planning and coordinating skills are also required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical or electrical engineering or related technical field.
Strong knowledge of avionics/mission systems and/or vehicle/utility systems.
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Desired Skills:
Working knowledge of technical orders, military flight operations, and maintenance concepts.
Specific knowledge of F-16 avionics/mission systems and vehicle/utility systems.
Knowledge of installed aircraft systems/subsystems and support equipment.
Fault isolation and/or problem analysis at the subsystem level.
Good knowledge of the system/software engineering environment.
Experience performing aircraft modifications / familiarity with USAF T2 modification process.

Flight Test Control EngineerSave JobRemove
RF Test Engineer /Principal RF Test Engineer - Second Shift
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Manufacturing Operations Test Engineering Team seeks an RF Test Engineer for second shift to support Factory Acceptance Test Operations in several areas.
We are seeking a person who is interested in Test Engineering and has a Radio Frequency (RF) background. The chosen candidate will work with various products and will support the testing of production hardware. The RF Test Engineer's activities will range from hands-on testing, to analysis of failure trends, and root cause/ corrective action.
Roles and responsibilities of the RF Test Engineer include, but are not limited to:
Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment
Troubleshoots and supports RF hardware
Supports First Time Through Test Yield (FTTTY) and hardware deliveries
Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements
Supports technicians through troubleshooting and training
Analyzes test data and identifies early trends
Supports program meetings in developing root cause and corrective actions
Collaborates with design engineering to develop and implement hardware improvements and solutions
The right candidate will have analytical skills to review requirements, test plans, and test scenarios; and the ability to effectively communicate and work with manufacturing, test engineering, and design engineering personnel. He/she should also be self-directed, organized, team oriented, and have previous experience with MS Office tools.
The chosen candidate must be able to work second shift, which starts around 3pm. You will be trained on first shift and then moved to second shift. Once you move to second shift, there is a shift differential.
This requisition may be filled as a RF Test Engineer or a Principal RF Test Engineer based on qualifications listed below.
Basic Qualifications for an RF Test Engineer:
Must be able to work second shift, which starts around 3pm
BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or other STEM Field
2 years of related experience (0 years with an MS degree)
Experience with RF test equipment (scopes, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator)
Familiarity with basic concepts of RF circuit design and troubleshooting
Ability to obtain DoD Secret level security clearance. This requires US citizenship.

Mission Systems Engineer / Integration And Test (Msit) Engineer
This position is for a mission system test engineer supporting F-35 flight test planning and execution located at Edwards AFB, CA Act as part of an Integrated Test Force (ITF) which includes Contractor Test, Developmental Test, and Operational Test. Team with AFTC and NAWCAD engineers in writing test plans, flight cards, conducting briefs/debriefs, problem reporting, and provide flight test data to verification engineers. The successful candidate should have a background in datalinks, weapons, avionics, mission systems, sensors, and displays.
As part of the engineering team on site at Edwards AFB, ensure that F-35 capabilities are being met for each LRIP lot. Significant interaction with the Verification Team and Discipline IPTs at Fort Worth is required to communicate issues found and to provide information to assist in problem resolution. Advise technical leads and management on overall flight priorities and critical problem reports based on data collected in flight.
Participate in real time control room activities during flight execution. The successful candidate will validate that F-35 sensors and mission system tests are conducted correctly by actively monitoring real time telemetry data during flight. This will also include ensuring all test equipment is operational and working along with coordinating with the Western ranges.
Assist with on aircraft troubleshooting and failure resolution as needed to ensure test aircraft mission capability. Coordinate with other mission system personnel to resolve system failures or performance questions. Participate in problem identification, analysis, and resolution. Assist with collection, distribution and analysis of data acquired during flight test missions.
Ideal candidate will have flight test design, integration, and flight test experience with CNI, weapons, sensors, mission systems, displays, and mission planning. Excellent communication, writing, mathematical, computer skills, required. Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, and practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access*

Mission Systems Engineer / Integration and Test (MSIT) EngineerSave JobRemove
Test Engineer
The candidate selected will perform RF testing for F-35/ADP programs. Electronic test experience is necessary. A strong working knowledge of various electronic test equipment is required. Duties will include the execution of tasks related to the test and analysis of RF hardware and systems.
Good written and oral communication skills, along with strong computer skills are necessary. The candidate selected must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. The candidate selected may be required to support extended or odd shifts and overtime. This is a second shift position.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a Secret clearance to start.

Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems Propulsion Systems Divison is recruiting for a Principal Test Engineer to join our team at the Promontory, Utah facility.
Position Summary:
As a Principle Test Engineer, coordinate the development of environmental, structural, and dynamic test processes using engineering drawings, test plans and other technical requirements documentation as applicable. The testing process includes review of requirements, selection and coordination of instrumentation-cabling-data/support systems, documenting the test process, developing instrumentation installation processes, troubleshooting instrumentation and data/support system problems, evaluating test data anomalies, and review of test data.
Candidate must have desire and ability to manage large complex projects. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively and present technical data to internal/external customers, suppliers, and vendors. Candidate would be expected to work in a team environment with other Engineers, Scientists and Technicians to develop detailed test process instructions and test plans. Candidate will spend time in test facilities developing solutions to a variety of testing challenges.
It is required the candidate have significant experience working with instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and control systems.

Accountabilities
- Works closely with Product Development, Product Management and the Customer Support teams to insure product quality and customer satisfaction. Develops, revises and maintains test plans, test cases and automated test scripts that include resource requirements, schedule assumptions and scope based on pre-determined product requirements. Interfaces with other internal QA organizations to develop comprehensive test plans and test coverage across clients broad product portfolio. Develops and conducts performance and scalability testing. Executes test plans, logs defects to an agreed upon severity rating and makes recommendations to address defects to product team. Retests software corrections to ensure defects are resolved. Drives continual process improvements in the evolution of testing procedures for future replication. Works with customers and applies customer feedback to drive product improvement through the development process.
Responsibilities
- Provides solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Use tools appropriately with technical guidance and complete tasks and assignments under normal supervision. Understands and adheres to cost/delivery/quality targets established during regression and testing phase. Software development expertise from a coding perspective. This is required for building test automation. Contribute to test automation activities through knowledge of coding/programming in current languages. Follows standard engineering/test practices. Uses judgment within defined practices and procedures. Implements work-plans and schedules as assigned. Seeks assistance when needed, demonstrates self-initiative. Sphere of influence primarily limited to immediate work group. Proficiency in the design, implementation, and maintenance of a test environment, including necessary equipment, configuration, and software. General knowledge of at least one mainstream language, (preferred proficiency in C, C++, or JAVA). Familiarity with scripting language, Perl or Shell Scripting in open systems and JCL in mainframe environment. Ability to read a specification (hardware, software or network) and develop appropriate test methodology. Ability to learn and apply new tools and applications. Full use and application of standard engineering principles, theories, and concepts. Executes test cases and testing methodology for manual and/or automated tests.

You will work in a fast-paced environment with an experienced and highly technical team of client engineers to solve a wide variety of unique and fascinating problems. The successful candidate will be technically savvy, have deep understanding of Software QA process, shall be proficient with Server/Storage HW management. The candidate must have precise attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and have the ability to articulate and communicate with a high level of proficiency through written and verbal communication.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Design, develop, and execute detail oriented Test Cases in Qmetry from User Stories in JIRA and Functional
Requirements
Report detailed and comprehensive defects found in testing promptly and accurately in JIRA
Design, modify and/or run manual and automated tests
Test on various hypervisor environments and OSes such as ESXI, Hyper-V and Linux
Setup and administer test lab equipment
Report test progress with weekly status updates
Create and update test documentation as necessary
Attend daily SCRUM meetings to determine project progress and identify any potential roadblocks
Other duties, responsibilities, and projects as assigned
Qualifications
At least 3 years of Software Testing experience in a professional Software Development environment
Ability to work independently or within a team environment
Ability to multi-task successfully while meeting project deadlines
Experience with defect-tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla
Experience working within an Agile software development environment
Some experience with server, network and storage hardware in a lab environment Preferences
Experience working in different hypervisor environments such as ESXI and Hyper-V
Experience with software test automation
Some experience with scripting in Python
Knowledge or experience testing with REST api
Prior experience working with client Server and Storage hardware
Working knowledge or experience with VMware and virtualization
