Ensures quality control requirements are understood and met by reviewing all special instructions and requirements.
Documents items by performing required Statistical Process Control; quality checks/tests; lot number requirements; shipping label requirements.
Resolves production problems by; notifying set up personnel for assistance; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources; if necessary, discontinue manufacturing operations until the problem is resolved.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment of complying with procedures, rules and regulations.

Almond Receiving Operator- Seasonal
Hourly Rate (if applicable):
Under general supervision provides operational support during harvest (approx. August- October) to the almond receiving team to ensure the efficient and timely receipt of almonds from our Growers. Provides support with the receiving and shipping of almonds to the Sacramento plant for processing and storing of crop receipts Salida plant. Expected to learn and follow established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), policies and procedures, and safety procedures while performing job duties. Must be able to work non-traditional work weeks and hours e.g. Wednesday to Sunday 5:00 pm to 1:30 am.
Assists receiving department team members with monitoring of almonds as they flow through the system by continuously feeding the bins for production and to storage areas.
Operates and monitors basic receiving equipment such as pit scales, elevator systems, conveying belts, and barcoding equipment.
Operates basic receiving equipment such as shuttle trucks, and forklifts.
Assigns warehouse classification number and issues proper documentation for all grower deliveries as well as all in plant and inter-warehouse transfers to and from the Salida Plant during receiving.
Ensures cleanliness of designated work area as per Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's); performs duties within safety guidelines.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Works is around moving traffic i.e. semi-truck/trailer trucks, trucks, forklifts, and loader. May work from elevated locations and climb ladders to perform this position. Some equipment produces high level of noise. High level of almond dust. Work is mostly outdoors and subject to all weather conditions.

Roll Tender - Machine Operator 12Hr
Our Roll Tender Operator is an important position of the dryer sheet manufacturing process. You will monitor fabric simultaneously being pulled from multiple rolls on a wall grid, all coming together into a "Pull Section" (like the lanes of a highway all coming together into one). Here are the three main phases:
1. Load the wall grid: place the fabric rolls onto horizontal spindles (rods), with the assistance of a lift for the higher spindles.
2. Feed the machine: route all fabric from all the rolls into the "Pull Section".
3. Documentation: complete the paperwork verifying that you have used the correct fabric, lengths, and cuts.

Essential Functions &

Change roll, make splice by hand, maneuver roll into position, adhere roll to web on machine, and adjust paper rolls.
Monitor bag machinery, starting, stopping, jogging, and adjusting as needed in a timely manner.
Threading paper through machine smoothly and thread machine as needed.
Clean and repair machine as needed using proper tools and equipment.
Maintain ink levels, clean ink pans and wash rollers.
Package bags as specified.
Submit accurate production reports daily and timely.
Meet/achieve safety, quality, production waste and housekeeping goals set forth by management.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

Quad is currently seeking a Press Assistant I/Roll Tender to work in the Charlotte, NC Retail Plant. As a member of the press crew, the Press Assistant I (Roll Tender) has previous experience as a Press Asst. II (stacker/jogger) and is able to perform the duties of both positions and may be asked to do so from time to time. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Understanding standard operating procedures of the department
Manage the paper supply inventory on the press and feed rolls into the press
Coordinate plates and tickets for upcoming jobs and hang paper according to job tickets
Set up and make splices, bend and hang plates as well as hang blankets and assist with webbing up press
Ensure correct ink is available for job and check ink fountains regularly
Set fold during make-readies and check trim sheets to proof and complete necessary roll reports and paperwork accurately
Communicate effectively with plate room and paper warehouse and coordinate changing of ink, etch, and silicone totes as needed
Wash up the press and assist with preventative maintenance.
Candidates must have prior press experience as Press Assistant II (Jogger)
Strong mechanical abilities and knowledge of presses and roll stands and the ability to perform basic math calculations are essential.
Good verbal and written comprehension skills are a must.
Must be able to thrive in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
This position also requires the ability to bend and lift 50 pounds continuously, ability to lift up to 90 pounds occasionally, stand long hours, use hands and wrists continuously and use vision in order to identify defects, performing repetitious tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Part II – Job Functions
Sets up materials for press operation.
Assist in the performance of equipment operations, adjustments, tests and conversions on all equipment associated with converting operations
Participates in maintaining department integrity to ensure quality, efficiency, area cleanliness, safety and AIB standards are maintained
Tests and inspects products as required to ensure consistent quality and operational standards are maintained.
Verifies and communicates both product standards and work standards to execute production.
Performs other organizational duties as required.
