NOW HIRING SORTERS!! Volt is hiring Sorters to sort almonds per production specifications. These positions are located in Linden, Ca.
In this position you will analyze our product to determine quality, measure size and locate any defects in order to determine if the product meets USDA, customer and company standards. Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), (that includes allergen control and food safety policy), BDG policies and safety practices while performing these job duties.
Sorters will manually removing defective almonds or foreign material from a moving belt while maintaining product quality by following customer specifications. Required to meet output standards, schedules, and deadlines designated by production standards and the Department Manager.
Communicates with other team players in a manner that will result in an informed, competent, and coordinated team atmosphere. Performs sanitation as needed. Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by the Department Manager or Shift Lead. Overtime as needed.
Must be comfortable working on a conveyor line; you cannot be motion sensitive in this role. Must be comfortable working on your feet for your entire shift and working as part of a team.
First Shift: 6 AM - 2:30 PM with OT when required
Second shift: 2:30 PM - 11 PM yes OT when required

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will direct all functions of the maintenance work force. They will ensure that maintenance work is accomplished in a safe and efficient manner. They will partner with key plant production personnel to implement and drive best practices in safety, quality, maintenance processes, reliability, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis in a three shift, seven day working environment.
Manage the Hourly Maintenance Workforce – Provide daily leadership to the hourly maintenance workforce. Make individual job assignments and track the progress to completion. Ensure the maintenance workforce is provided with information, tools, and direction to work safely and efficiently. Ensure the workforce is provided with the time and tools needed to perform a quality job. Ensure that the workforce follows all plant guidelines for Safety, Quality, GMPs, SAP PM processes, time confirmations, monthly meetings, and other procedures.
Monitors the plant CMMS –Ensure all data collected by his or her employees is accurate and complete when entered into the SAP PM system. Audits equipment BOM and PM work instructions for accuracy. Directs the activities of the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to ensure all BOM's and PM are updated, required PMs are completed as scheduled and plant backlog is properly managed.
Asset Reliability – Ensure asset reliability through TPM, Lean, Autonomous Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis, and other reliability tools.
Business Unit Support – Provide daily technical and troubleshooting expertise to the assigned BU.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:
B.S. Degree in Asset Reliability or Engineering related field strongly preferred.
5 years of related maintenance experience required.
Proficient in Lean Manufacturing principles.
Fluent with Root Cause Analysis (RCA),, Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Problem Solving methods.
Strong knowledge of SAP or other CMMS system.

Location: Fresno area
Highly diversified growing, packing, and shipping operation located in the heart of the agriculturally-rich Central Valley of California. Products grown by include: almonds, grapes, olives, oranges, and stone fruit. The operation also includes a retail store, an almond hulling and processing plant, and a newly-completed olive oil milling facility that produces and bottles extra virgin organic olive oil.
As the Farm Manager you are responsible for monitoring daily farm operations and reporting to the President.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, have good organization skills and maintain a positive work environment.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Responsible for ground preparation, planting, irrigating, fertilizing, spraying, cultivating and harvesting operations.
Managing and leading a staff of both regular and temporary employees.
Attend ranch meetings weekly and report on progress once a week.
Participate in the budget creation and manage location expenses.
Procuring crop inputs, including those for production and protection, and controlling the inventory.
Manage location records, including those on equipment maintenance and field records.
Provide training to staff in the areas of safety, food safety, and general work requirements.
Production agriculture and management experience is required.
Must have experience in budgeting.
Must have knowledge of irrigation methods, farm equipment operation and general maintenance.
Must possess a basic understanding of horticulture and general agriculture.
Must be able to troubleshoot and be resourceful.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to set and achieve goals.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Process improvement and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to learn and contribute to the success of the farm.
