POSITION TITLE: MACHINE HELPERREPORTS TO: CONVERTING SUPERVISOR SUMMARYResponsible for all activities associated with helping operators on all presses including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSet-up slotting, feed, and die cut sections on machine accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques.Assist operator in other duties.Monitor board quality, including - loose liner, warp, dimensions, caliper, and any other defects. Report any quality problems to the operator and sort as necessary to keep the machine running.Work at pace set by the machine operator.Cross-train on other machines as necessary.Be willing to move up the line of progression to operator regardless of shift.Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner.Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.Helps operators adhere to production schedule.

Employees get to choose from a variety of medical plans, dental plans, and vision as well. Employees are also compensated for overtime and shift differential. Employees are paid time and one-half for hours worked more than 8 in one day or more than 40 in one week (other than mutual agreement hours). Employees are also paid double time for hours worked on Sundays. The shift differential is 26¢ for 2nd shift and 52¢ additional for hours worked on 3rd shift.
Neenah offers 12 paid holidays annually. The Company cannot require employees to work on the 4th of July, Labor Day, Deer Hunting Saturday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve Day. Should the Company need to run production to fulfill Customer needs, the Company can ask for volunteers on those days. Employees are eligible for holiday pay and a personal holiday after joining the Union on their 61st day of employment.
Schedules – The crews work rotating shifts: 1st – 7a.m. to 3p.m., 2nd – 3p.m. to 11p.m., 3rd – 11p.m. to 7a.m. The work schedule is a standard 6 day work week (Monday through Saturday). The standard schedule is 8 hours per day. In the Retail Department, the Labor Agreement allows the Company to schedule employees to work on Sundays if needed. In addition, employees can be scheduled long hours (12's) or be held over to cover for their Partners (16's) if necessary. Our business has been very strong and there have been times when our employees have worked 14, 21, or even 28 days in a row to meet customer demands.
Neenah offers a few options to provide flexibility for employee's schedules. These include a Mutual Agreement (MA), a way for employees to trade hours or shifts within a given work week to get time off. Employees must work with a co-worker to plan a trade, then complete the necessary form and submit it for approval. Employees can also use the Mutual Off (MO) to give away any premium or overtime hours. Leave of Absence (LOA's) requests are also available for employees to request time off for significant life events.
