In response to rapid growth of our aluminum business and as part of our strategy to better serve customers, we currently have an opening for a world class Product Manager, Aluminum.
The Product Manager, Aluminum will be tasked with managing all aspects of aluminum program and growing that business and will be accountable for the P&L statement of that product line. The person in this high-visibility position will partner with key business leaders to drive relevant improvements across procurement, inventory, operations and sales.
- Own the P&L for the aluminum business.
- Build commercial aluminum strategy with managers to grow existing accounts, penetrate new customers and markets, and launch new products.
- Develop and refine a compelling, differentiated value proposition, as well as positioning and messaging for the company's aluminum offering.
- Manage product pricing and program costs with key executives.
- Support outside sales personnel on customer-related efforts and visits to grow sales.
- Work with sales managers to drive and monitor sales prospecting.
- Build and update aluminum sales forecasts and plans with the Director of Sales & Business Development.
- Collaborate with Procurement to manage supplier relationships, aluminum inventory and purchasing across multiple companies.
- Evaluate and onboard new suppliers as appropriate to broaden aluminum portfolio and mitigate risk.
- Develop and implement systems, processes, and metrics to improve processing quality, reliability, lead times, and costs for the aluminum program.
- Conduct, aggregate, and distill market research into meaningful and actionable insights.
- Oversee all marketing efforts for aluminum, including marketing communications, advertising, and events.
- Develop technical case studies, customer success stories, and product data resources.
- Be the primary technical resource on aluminum products for customers and employees.
- Conduct trainings with employees to further the organization's familiarity with aluminum products and applications.
- Travel up to 25%.
- 4-year bachelor's degree or greater; engineering or business management degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience marketing aluminum and solving technical customer problems.
- 3+ years sales experience.
- Knowledge of and experience with the plastic injection mold industry preferred.
- Strong communication (verbal and written), math, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to present well.
- Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems and reports.

The Process Operator operates and maintains sludge, de-watering treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment in refinery/industrial facility to purify water to meet customer specifications.
Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

Must have the ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions).

What Will You Do:
Complete most work functions within production operations

Learn all facets of the ethanol process including: cook, distillation, evaporation, dryers, thermo oxidizer, centrifuges, grain system, and water treatment.
Learn and operate DCS (computer control system) for the plant.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures for plant start-up, shut down, cleaning and batching.
Stay within operating parameters set by Plant/Production Manager and notify management of any production problems.
Keep accurate and timely logs.
Collect samples and do the necessary tests to ensure consistent and quality product and record results.
Monitor and make adjustments on the (DCS) computer according to the results of the samples and to keep within parameters and record changes.
Keep facility, control room, and break room clean including mopping and hosing down plant floors – tour ready conditions.
Keep operators, coming on shift, briefed on what has happened and what is supposed to be done during the next shift.
Work closely with maintenance and inform them of any mechanical problems.
Communicate with the Laboratory and learn testing procedures including but not limited to yeast counts, microwave analyzer, HPLC, and the GC.
Responsible for notifying Production/ Plant Manager of any production problems.
Complete any and all tasks assigned by the Plant Manager/Production Manager.
Help out in other areas as needed.
12 hour shift work including a three day weekend every other week.
Available occasionally for call in work and overtime.

MATERIAL PROCESS OPERATOR (MPO)

The Material Process Operator (MPO) is responsible for the production of cat litter and may work in the Mixing, Production, Receiving, and/or Warehouse departments. The Mixing department is responsible for associated controls and instrumentation to transfer the raw materials to the mixing equipment and the prepared product to the packaging area. The Production department is responsible for packaging and palletizing the product. The Receiving and Warehouse Departments' responsibilities include managing the warehouse areas and transporting the product to and from production and to and from semi-trailers. The MPO works most of the time with heavy stationary and/or moving equipment and conveyors, concentration on the tasks at hand as well as an awareness of the overall operation is important.
The MPO will need to be able to occasionally lift 50 lbs.
JOB TASKS: are dependent upon the Department. Duties may include:
Loading, unloading and transporting raw materials, equipment and supplies from semi trailers and railcars,
Transporting raw materials during product preparation,

Ability to work weekends, overtime, regular days off or holidays as assigned or needed and carry on-call phone as required after initial training.

Assist with snow removal as required, including operating snow blower and snow plow.

Licenses and Certificates: Possession of or ability to obtain a Wastewater Class I Certification from the State of Kansas within 18 months. Class B CDL with air brake and tanker license within 6 months.
Rotating on-call and weekend shift every 4 to 6 weeks.
