The focus of the project is to deliver calculations urgently needed by experimental programs of high energy and nuclear physics, based on the computational methods of lattice quantum chromodynamics (lattice QCD). QCD embodies our most fundamental understanding of the strong nuclear force and associated particles, a key component of the more general Standard Model of particle physics. In high energy physics, lattice calculations are required to extract the fundamental parameters of the standard model (such as quark masses) from experiment. Evidence for physics beyond the Standard Model can be discovered if discrepancies are found between different methods for determining these parameters. You will join the Computational Science (Catalyst) group in ALCF; this is a highly collaborative environment involving science application teams, academia, industry as well as other national laboratories and agencies. The chosen applicant will have a rare chance to learn and exploit some of the world’s largest supercomputers, and use state-of-the-art techniques on current and upcoming supercomputing systems to help solve significant real-world problems.   • Supplier Storage Peaking Charge (SSPC) + Average earned base rate for customer classifications

  • Direct the development of input data for the projection of firm gas sales and send-out and interruptible volumes for the budget and forecast period ensuring all relevant historic load information, established temperature patterns and customer usage patterns are properly analyzed in projecting of additional load gains and losses with input from Marketing.

  • Review all input data from sources outside of the department of logical accuracy before utilizing in model; communicating inconsistencies to Manager, Gas Planning for review by the appropriate source.

  • Prepare and analyzes a variety of quarterly, monthly, annual and ad hoc reports including but not limited to: + Weekly Winter Status Report + Load estimating formulas to Gas Control to facilitate daily pipeline supply scheduling + Expected gas revenue to be used in determining the company’s monthly cash flow requirements + Evaluate model forecasts of the utilization of flowing natural gas, pipeline storage and peak shaving gas, including liquefied natural gas (LNG) to ensure program consistency with design parameters.

Benefits Calculation Administrator (Defined Benefit) – Center Of Excellence (Heavy Benefits Calculation)

The Benefits Calculation Administrator is responsible for delivering timely and accurate results for the non-automated pension calculations and associated processes. There is a strong emphasis on quality and timeliness of work performed. In addition, the administrator works closely with the Benefits Operations Manager (BOM) to streamline, automate, and/or standardize the group's processes. Responsibility Areas

  • Review and analyze business requirements, plan provisions, and other data sources to calculate participant benefits manually or with the aid of a calculation workbook.

  • Research complex participant benefit issues impacting calculations and formulate resolutions/ recommendations by analyzing fact patterns and applying provisions and best practices. Provide resolution in accordance with due dates and documented processes.

  • Conduct calculation system edit clean up including researching, and determining reasons for, and resolving errors. This may include working directly with client or third party vendor to obtain correct data/information.

  • Create relevant personalized communication statements.

  • Works with Benefits Operations Manager to recommend process improvements, and along with coaching and training opportunities that were identified from participant issues, recurring edits, process delays, and quality problems. Qualifications - Internal Knowledge and Experience

  • Benefits Administration in Defined Benefits/Pension preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task and drive and prioritize own work.

  • Skilled at properly researching, identifying, and documenting issues.

  • Effective working in a team environment.

  • Excellent research, computation, and analysis skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Experience with data mining and interpreting results.

  • General knowledge of administrative systems and processes.

  • Ability to execute key operations management routines and identify enhancement opportunities.

  • Effective use of basic business productivity tools and Microsoft applications.

  • Proficient in Excel Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree (with concentrations in Math, Actuarial Science, Finance or business context preferred) or equivalent work experience required. Work Conditions

  • Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.

  • Work with global resources which may require flexible hours.

  • Frequent computer use at workstation up to 2 hours at a time or for extended periods of time.

  • Access information using a computer and related components and peripherals.
