Pineapple Hospitality is a rapidly expanding boutique hotel management company. We are looking for team members who are all about providing outstanding guest service—this is hospitality after all.
We're fun, a little quirky, and always striving to get better (that's where you come in). Currently we have nine hotels in five states, with plans to continue growing. If you want to be part of a far-from-stuffy company with lots of opportunities, this may be the place for you.
Who We're Looking For:
FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER FOR THE TROPHY ROOM AT THE ALISE BOSTON IN BOSTON, MA.
We're looking for someone who really knows their way around a kitchen. Does this mean you can whip up a soufflé with one hand tied behind your back?
Heavens, no. (Although it would be quite impressive if you could.) As Food & Beverage Manager you are responsible for the management, direction and organization of our restaurant, making sure guests receive spectacular food and flawless service at all times. If you're detail-oriented, a natural leader and have the ability to juggle a million things at once (including knives), this could be the job for you.
What You Bring:
First off, you know how to handle the food industry from soup to nuts: Things like food planning and preparation, purchasing, company policies and procedures and personnel management should be second nature. Here are a few things of the things you can expect to be doing during a typical day:
1.) Estimating food needs, placing orders with distributors, and scheduling the delivery of fresh food and supplies.
2.) Ensuring that high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout all restaurant/outlet areas at all times.
3.) Ensuring proper ordering, receiving, rotation and waste disposal.
4.) Ensuring that the Food & Beverage department operates within budgetary parameters.
5.) Supervising, coaching and mentoring team members to create an environment that encourages the development and growth of all involved.
Where You've Been:
We're looking for someone with a High School diploma (or equivalent) as well as 3+ years of previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant, bar or coffee shop in a supervisory role. You must also have Food Handler's and Liquor Permits.
When You're Here:
Sometimes you'll be behind a desk—but also be prepared to move around because more than half of the time you will be standing/sitting, carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending/twisting, climbing stairs and more. You also must be able to accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays. But wait, there's a great upside: in exchange for your flexibility we offer excellent pay, hotel discounts, F&B discounts and the opportunity to be part of an anything-but-standard growing hotel company.
