Hospital Patient Services Clerk 1
Full-time (100%) position. Schedule based on 40 hour work week.
Must be available to work a primary shift of 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with availability of the eight hours following primary shift. Department open 24 hrs/day 7 days a week may be required to work additional shifts. Rotating pass days and holidays based upon operational needs.
Mandatory and Voluntary overtime available on a rotating basis. Duties include, but are not limited to: will conduct interview of patients/family members for demographic and insurance data into EPIC computer system; obtain required signatures, distribute forms and patient cards to appropriate personnel; provide information and directions to patients; verify Medicaid, Medicare and HMO accounts. Will participate in cross training in other admitting areas.
Provide clerical support duties including answering telephones, filing, copying, etc. and complete other duties as assigned. Must be able to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks effectively in a timely and accurate manner and function under stressful situations. Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills preferred.

Animal Care Aide
Everyone at our Company, from our entry-level consultants to our Principals, interacts with clients in several ways. Examples often include field inspections, marketing presentations, industry conferences, and project reporting. The responsibility for client interaction, management, and development increases as you progress along our consulting career path.
Building client relationships starts right away. Our Engineers/Scientists and Senior Engineer/Scientists often participate in field inspections, teleconferences, or face-to-face client meetings.
Working with our established consultants, they receive hands-on experience and begin the process of building these relationships by doing excellent work on time and within budget. Many of our entry-level hires have found themselves on an inspection during their first week at our Company!
Under direct supervision, performs daily health monitoring, clinical care, surgical support and enrichment for laboratory animals.
Must be able to lift 20 to 25 lbs. Must be able to work staggered shift schedule, overtime, weekends and holidays as required.
Must be able to read, write and comprehend English in order to read signage and to read and update animal health records. Work space may be small, non-private, and close to other work stations where noise level can be high.
Performs daily rounds under the direct supervision of the clinical veterinarians or Animal Health Techincian, Leads to triage new animal health reports and monitor ongoing clinical cases. Communicates with veterinary staff and laboratory personnel to notify and update regarding the status of clinical cases. Performs physical examinations and treatments as deemed necessary by the clinical veterinarians;
Assists the clinical veterinarians or other qualified individuals with surgical procedures. Prepares sterile instrument packs and prepares surgical suite animals for asceptic surgery. Under the direction of the clinical veterinarians, AHT Sr or Lead, administers anesthetic agents, intravenous fluids and monitors anesthesia and post surgical recovery;
Ensures that environmental and social enrichment is provided to the laboratory animals.
Dispenses non-controlled drugs and supplies from the CCM pharmacy to laboratory personnel. Performs periodic inventories of drugs, supplies, assay kits and instruments. Prepares and submits animals or specimens (blood, tissue, feces) for testing at diagnostic laboratories as determined necessary by the clinical veterinarians;
Maintains and monitors various reports and records including animal health records, activity reports and enrichment logs. Participates in the training of animal care staff, laboratory personnel and interns in proper animal restraint, barrier technique and asepsis;
Remains current with all regulations pertaining to laboratory animals including the Guide, Animal Welfare Act, etc. Participates in various staff meetings, staff training and continuing professional education. Becomes familiar with relevant Animal Study Protocols and meets with investigators and laboratory personnel to discuss research needs and animal health concerns;
Performs other duties as assigned.
One year of experience as a veterinary assistant or technician in a veterinary medical facility, research facility or diagnostic laboratory or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience where the required knowledge, skills and abilities are acquired.
