Job Summary

Demonstrate an understanding of the basic biology, physiology, care, and behavior of various animals. Keep all animals and living quarters clean and sanitary by cleaning the areas daily, including but not limited to Koi ponds and filters, bird rooms, cages, perches, dishes, and toys.

Handle, restrain, and groom exotic animals. Ensure all animals are accounted for and receive proper vitamins and supplements. Monitor food and water levels to maintain proper diets for all animals.

Monitor animals for signs of illness and injury through visual examinations and contact Engineering management immediately if an animal is sick or injured. Collect specimens and cultures from the animals for the veterinarian or lab, as necessary. Administer treatment to animals as prescribed and under the guidance of the prescribing veterinarian. Store food, vitamins, and medical supplies.

Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.

Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
