DescriptionGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES •Produce components, subassemblies, and final assemblies through the Heat Treat and Anneal process. •Work under the direction of the supervisors, group leaders, team leaders, with minimal supervision. •Setup and operate all equipment in related area to produce product to specification requirements. •Maintain high quality and production standards and keep records. •Assist and train lower classification personnel. _ _SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OR AREAS UNDER INCUMBENTS CONTROL • Operate equipment to heat treat, anneal, temper, carbonize, harden, normalize and oil or water quench a variety of parts and materials to specifications. •Work with a wide range of steels including 300 and 400 series stainless, tool steels, and various types of mesh. •Understand and use all measuring equipment. •Setup and operate all equipment in heat treat area. •Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records as required. •Process and measure product to insure compliance to blueprint and work instruction specifications. •Insure all personal protective equipment is used and maintained. •Maintain clean, neat, and safe work area. •Troubleshoot and resolve heat treating problems.
