  • Wire or clip parts to anodizing rack and immerse rack in series of cleaning, etching, and rinsing baths as required.

  • Rack, un-rack and hang parts on racks to air dry + Degrease parts for anodize processing.

  • Use solvents to remove dirt and oil from parts.

  • Operate pallet jack to move parts from one location to another.

  • Clean, organize and maintain work area as directed in accordance with 5-s principles. Position Overview A123 Systems, LLCis looking for an Anode Scientist to join our team for the development of next generation high capacity lithium-ion anode materials.This position executes the development and design of Si-graphite composite anode electrodes to be used in A123’s next Li-ion cell products with high energy density. The individual will possess a good working knowledge of Li-ion batteries, the chemical and physical properties of cell materials, in particular, silicon-based anodes.Primary job responsibilities include generating new ideas and approaches for the development of next generation anode materials and working closely with material suppliers for implementation and validation of technologies for transfer to manufacturing. Attending to these responsibilities will require working closely with electrolyte, cathode, and cell scientists and engineers co-located in A123’s Waltham facility as well as in Hangzhou, China. This position involves a variety of technical tasks in an automated manufacturing environment where aluminum cylinders are coated with light-sensitive materials.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
