Production Assistant/ Plater Trainee 1St Shift
Production Assistants and Plater Trainees are entry level production positions with Anoplate. Over the course of the paid training program you will attend classroom training sessions as well as have on the job training. As you progress and attain various levels of knowledge and expertise you will be rewarded with increased pay. This is a 1st shift position with approximate work hours between 6am-230pm Monday-Friday (some flexibility on start/stop times) with overtime available as needed. Starting wage is $11.00/hr, plus depending on experience. A quarterly profit sharing bonus based on company financial goals can pay up to 6% of employee earnings.
Production Assistants are responsible for supporting Platers in maximizing tank output with limited waste in a safe, environmentally conscious, quality driven environment. PA's unpack, inspect, and prepare/rack parts for production. PA's play roles in the cycling of parts from tank to tank and perform other duties such as drying, inspecting, transporting and packing parts. Plater Trainees learn the art and science of metal finishing while working side by side with subject matter experts. Platers progress thru levels of different finishes learning the chemical and electrical make-up in the process of plating parts.
Consistently work in a safe manner utilizing personal protective equipment and trained procedures to ensure personal safety and the safety of co-workers.
Successfully completes training modules and demonstrates proficiency in assigned duties.
Keeps accurate account of own time within system provided
Retrieves and follows shop traveller.
Follows prescribed methods and order for completing tasks to ensure all specs are met.
Utilizes equipment to inspect and identify quality defects
Cleans, plugs, blasts, masks, paints, processes, packs parts per traveler instructions.
Accurately interprets diagram information or blueprints and carries out instructions as written.
Initiates Production Improvement Form (PIF) upon discovering a discrepancy on a traveller.
The positions require standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, stretching, reaching and lifting items that may weigh up to 50lbs.
A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Previous experience in chemical handling/storage, manufacturing production, or general machinery operation preferred. Pre-employment drug testing and background screening required.

Platers operate, maintain, and control processes and equipment to produce coated, plated, and treated parts of proper quality. Inspects parts to specifications and secures first piece approvals before running jobs. Operates and services waste treatment equipment. Maintains solutions used in operations. Loads, unloads, weighs, identifies, and transports parts and materials. Cleans and performs preventative maintenance on equipment. Places materials, parts, and supplies in proper locations when not in use.
The plater handles plant waste, both hazardous and non-hazardous, in a manner which will insure compliance with local, Nebraska Department of Environmental Control (NDEC), and EPA regulations. Hazardous waste handling may include any of the following: Drying wastes, containerizing waste, moving waste in-plant, and offering wastes for shipment.
Platers work independently to meet shift production requirements, maintain the production line, and secure the production area.
Wage rate starts at $18.45 with .45 cent 2nd shift premium.

Ellwood Crankshaft Group (ECG) is the world's leading manufacturer and remanufacturer of large, one-of-a-kind, multiple-throw crankshafts. Plater - 2Nd Shift
Eaton in Beltsville, MD has an opening for two 2nd Shift Platers.
Review work order or schedule established by team leader
Read and understand process sheet/blueprint
Process parts through plating, passivation, or cleaning lines as required by process specifications (this may involve some fine manipulation/racking of the product, weighs approximately 10 pounds)
Log all procedures as dictated by plating specifications in corresponding log book including electroplating, passivation, and pickling
Calculate surface area of parts to be plated or cleaned and apply current density according to the plating specifications
Operate measuring devices, including micrometers, dial gauges, etc.
Run product through processes using rack or barrels (cleaning, plating, passivation pickling) in accordance with plating specifications
Perform daily bath maintenance (this may include filter changing, chemical additions and cleaning of plating lines) as dictated by the maintenance schedule
Setup of fixtures, racks, and barrels utilizing historical data/logs (done with support of team leader and lab technician)
Able to work in a team environment
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Exercise proper waste disposal under the guidance of team leader and lab technician
Participate in lean and 5S activities, as required
Follow shop environmental and safety procedures, including proper personal protection equipment at all times

Plater I - 3Rd Shift

The Landing Systems business unit located in Miami Gardens, FL has an opportunity for a Plater I. The selected individual will perform mechanical blasting functions in order to prepare landing gear parts for induction to the following lines, chrome, nickel, cadmium, and nital, The position is on 3rd shift. Prior to working on 3rd shift, the selected Plater will be required to train on 1st shift for a specified period of time. Individuals with multi-line experience and expertise in chrome is preferred.
Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform flash and hard chrome operation and racking of all components for chrome plating as well as bright cad and cad of minor components.
Prepare parts by masking or stop-off for plating, shotpeening and sandblasting. Wax parts for plating, perform alodine, brush cad, cad strip & passivation.
Sand blast parts for plating (chrome, nickel, cadmium and nital etch).
Measure component parts with thickness gauge and measuring instruments on various process lines.
Perform degrease operation, pre and post plating function for NDT (Non Destructive Testing), machine shop and grind shop.
Load and unload parts in ovens, documenting time and date of each operation.
Actively support site EH&S and process improvement initiatives.
This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA's regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
Production Associate - Plating Operator
Job Title: Copper Plater I
Department: Wet Process
Reports To: Wet Process Manager
The Copper Plater I is responsible for processing panels through the cleaning line, loading and unloading plating tanks, changing filters, anodes bags, adding copper to the plating baskets, dumping and remake of the different chemistries according to company procedures and dumping schedules, and keeping a clean and safe area. Must have good communication skills and the ability to quickly adapt to a fast paced environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processes boards through Copper Plating in a complete and timely manner in accordance with production traveler and work instructions to ensure that all process are maintained in accordance with ISO procedures.
Performance of Dumps and remakes of the chemistries per PM schedule. Maintains and clean all department equipment.
Ensures that each job is accompanied by a traveler and that all previous steps are signed off.
Qualified applicants must hold U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status.

Induct, load and unload piece parts.
