We are looking for this highly qualified antenna designer to be a member of our team and to assist in our continued company growth. Join our successful antenna team who has been providing high quality antennas and related products to the US Military and commercial customers around the world for over thirty years.  
We are hiring a mid level Antenna RF Engineer to help expand our current product line of planar arrays, phased arrays,  reflectors, horns, lenses, patch, helical, spirals, IFF and dipole antennas and related components, as well as improving existing antennae.  
Our modern facilities include a small Anechoic chamber and a large outdoor antenna test range.

This position is more than just a antenna design position, as you can expect to wear multiple hats in a RF project engineering capacity. Duties can vary, depending on project workload, and delivery schedules. Day to day duties may consist of antenna design, antenna testing, running production, simulations, R&D, fabrication, overseeing and identification of production issues, troubleshooting and improving on current designs.

Perform Design and analysis of new antennas and antenna systems

Job Summary: Design of antennas for existing 3G/4G wireless bands and developing 5G millimeter wave bands. Design, simulate, and test wideband antenna elements, reflectors, and features for aperture tuning and sidelobe control.

Design, simulate, and test lens structures and antenna arrays for active beamforming and tilt control.

Design and simulate antennas using CST and/or HFSS. Test antenna and array prototypes in anechoic chamber and outdoor far field range to verify gain, cross-pol isolation, and sidelobe levels. Also, prefer conduct high-level and detailed design, simulation, and layout of transceiver circuit blocks including power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, oscillators, distributed and lumped filters, upconverters, downconverters, quadrature modulators and demodulators, RF switches, duplexers, matching circuits, and phase shifter circuits.

Perform tradeoff analysis and feasibility study for new antenna/RF architectures that lead to performance improvement, size reduction and lower cost. Support technology development of next generation antenna applications in the areas of WWAN, WLAN, WPAN, Position Location, Wireless Charging, SATCOM, Air-to-Ground and Autonomous Driving.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Electromagnetic theory with application in antenna, RF/Microwave circuit and network theory.

  • Experience with antenna types for broadband and multiband applications

  • Experience with antenna array theory and associated measurement methods

  • Design experience with antennas used in mobile and small wearable devices such as PIFA/WIFA, folded monopole, loop and others

Preferred Qualifications -Working knowledge of commercial EM simulation software such as HFSS, CST, SEMCAD or IE3D, and circuit analysis software such as ADS or Eagleware.

  • Knowledge of pertinent radiated and antenna performance parameters and methods to characterize them.

  • Familiar with OTA performance testing.

  • Experience with LTE, CDMA, WCDMA, GSM mobile cellular standard

  • Experience in AutoCAD or ProE

LO Antenna Engineer

  1. Designs and develops low observable antennas, sub-systems, and systems to fulfill design objectives and to meet customer requirements, manage technical risk, and satisfy internal program budgets and schedules. 2. Conducts RF and RCS design analysis of components, sub-systems, and systems through, computer simulation and mathematical calculations. 3.

    Prepares and reviews reports, procedures and related design documentation to develop, analyze and test components, sub-systems, and systems. 4. As Responsible Engineer, defines, plans and leads technical development efforts working with Program Management in achieving requirements, budgets and schedules. 5. Interfaces with customers to help define requirements and scope of effort for new product development. 6.

    Defines technical development plans, including budgetary and milestone estimates for proposals. Generates technical content for white papers, proposal volumes, and program data items. Minimum of twelve years of related experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of eleven years of related experience.

    Six to eight years of experience managing engineering projects, including LO antenna design, schedules, budgets, and proposals. Direct experience designing low observable antennas, frequency selective surfaces, resistive surface treatments, and other forms of RCS reduction is required. A familiarity with the characteristics and design of various antenna types such as uniform or tapered slot, cavity backed aperture, broadband, wire, and microstrip is required.

    Experience with one or more design and analysis software tools such as HFSS, Ansoft Designer, CST, FEKO, MatLab, and Microsoft Office is considered essential. Candidates must have hands-on experience performing S-parameter measurements, antenna gain and pattern measurement, and antenna RCS measurements. Knowledge of practical RF system considerations such as path loss calculation, cascade noise figure, and intercept point is desirable.
