Primary Function: Responsible for testing and troubleshooting microwave components, sub-assemblies and final products to ensure products meet company and customer specifications. Major Responsibilities: * Performs set-up and checks accuracy of standard microwave bench test equipment, such as sweep generators, network analyzers, and frequency counters.
Performs microwave test, takes measurements and tunes products to meet specifications.

Analyzes test results and provides formal test reports to customer. •Develops and documents test procedures and schedules associated with conducting environmental testing of systems and provides formal test reports to customers. •Sets up antennas for measurement to include test sequences. Operates antenna measurement equipment to obtain test data. Adjusts systems to meet testing requirements. •Conducts special studies and investigations related to antenna project activities and recommends changes as appropriate to enhance efficiency and meet changed or new requirements.
Interfaces with industry to keep abreast of latest technology and incorporates technological advances into program solutions. •Trains, directs and assists other engineering personnel to insure task objectives are completed on schedule •Serve as organizational subject matter expert regarding antenna performance measurements and materials testing. Serves as subject matter expert in antenna performance and enhancements to improve efficiency. •Designs and modifies antennas and feeds using technical knowledge to meet customer requirements •May support the installation and upgrade of antenna systems at field locations Qualifications •Education: B.S.
Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related science •Experience: A minimum of thirteen years of experience relating to the field of antenna theory. At least 3 years of antenna testing on an automated system utilizing a planar Nearfield scanner, spherical Nearfield scanner or far field measurement system. •Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph. This position will manage the release of new antenna products from the design engineering phase through the successful transfer into full production. The main responsibilities will be to drive improvements for cycle time, manufacturability, yields, and cost reductions through process improvements with a high focus on soldering applications.
Position description: * Lead, coach and develop an engineering team to assess manufacturing challenges and implement innovative solutions for our processes, ongoing production and new product releases for our Antenna products division.
Create departmental strategic plans and tactics aligned with corporate goals, while managing a multi-million dollar annual departmental budget.
Evaluate the use of existing and future technology in producing reliable parts, participate in continuous improvement relating to quality assurance, cost reduction, make/buy, and effective manufacturing solutions.
Drive process improvements for OTTP, utilization, efficiency, cycle time reduction, cost reduction, and yields.
Develop capital equipment justifications, evaluate options, select, procure, prove out and install equipment and tooling into JMA Wireless manufacturing operations.
Position requirements: * B.S. Degree (M.S. preferred) in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Extensive experience in the manufacturing of RF products that require Passive Inter-Modulation (PIM) and voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) testing
Extensive experience in manufacturing via solder applications and techniques
Demonstrated knowledge in LEAN philosophies and practiced applications in a manufacturing organization.
Experience transitioning new products in to the production pipeline
Excellent judgment, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
