TYPE OF RECRUITMENT:

Assists electronics technicians in the maintenance, repair and testing of electronics communications equipment.
Demonstrates and explains to users the basic operation of equipment installed, such as mobile radio or audio equipment.
Keeps records of time and material used in performing duties.
Assists in training new installers.
May provide lead supervision to a crew of Electronic Communications Equipment Installers under the onsite supervision of journey-level electronics technician.

DISH is seeking Satellite Monitoring Group (Technical Operation Center) Lead Technician who will be part of a well-organized and motivated engineering team responsible for monitoring, escalating and troubleshooting signal quality and RF anomalies within the ground-to-space-to-ground segments used in large-scale Direct-to-Home satellite operations. Position includes operating a vast network of remote monitoring sites in support of various work activities. Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

Maintain red and black router configurations for KuSS system connectivity back to Hurlburt network infrastructure and make appropriate notifications when changes have been made.
Notify actively connected or scheduled to be connected users of any KuSS outages (both scheduled and unscheduled) that are the result of equipment on Hurlburt Field gateway or airtime problems identified by ViaSat.
Manage the ViaSat Global Network (Yonder) service access requests and allocation based on priority list.
Conduct in-flight testing and troubleshooting of systems
Perform ancillary duties as required
Experience as a Frequency or RF/SAtellite spectrum manager for a SOF organization
Experience organizing/managing Tacticl LAN systems
Experience organizing/managing a Ku Band Spread Spectrum (KuSS) communications system to provide secure, Internet Protocol (IP) based on the move access between airborne terminals and command posts via SATCOM communication links
Required education: 4-Year Degree; or substitute additional experience in lieu of degree
Network + or Security+ certification
Current SECRET security clearance; Ability to receive a TS/SCI clearance.
