How will you do this?
Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment start up and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
Operate/Monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality product and minimal unplanned stops.
Accurately and efficiently perform steps necessary to conduct flavor/package changes and proper shut-downs to minimize down-time wasted resources.
Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
Housekeeping and Sanitation
1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday-Friday. Weekends and or holidays may be required on occasion based on business needs

Filler Operator, 2Nd Shift (Monday-Friday, 2:00Pm To 10:30Pm)
The Filler Operator is responsible for setting-up, operating and monitoring our Filling Machines. They ensure that the product conforms to quality standards.
The responsibilities of this position include:
Load foil lids into filler carriage, as well as make sure the right cups and foils are in the machine
Take samples for and perform in-process product testing; work with Quality to resolve non-conformance
Help train and oversee other operators in filling room
Set-up various filler machines for production runs (such as entering product recipe and tracking temperature); monitor and adjust filler settings as needed
Monitor filler speed, hopper level and cup count during production
Identify and resolve filler issues, reset alarms and notify maintenance of issues
Identify and eliminate non-conforming product
Verify all filler connections prior to productions start-up and CIP
Make sure code dates are on cups and boxes, and that they are accurate
Perform other duties as assigned

Function Specific Activities:
Responsible for efficient operation, trouble-shooting and preventative maintenance of production equipment including but not limited to Fillers, Labelers and Blow Mold equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Performs operator-based preventive maintenance on mechanical systems to include disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly.

Working conditions will consist of a paint factory environment that has the potential of exposure to hazardous chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, heat and noise (ranges 75db to 85db). The job entails intimate interaction with high speed, moving, heated and cooled equipment. Several pinch points exist. There is a high volume of start and stop forklift traffic. It is an indoor job in a semi air-conditioned building, largely protected from outside weather conditions.
Physical requirements are standing for periods of time, sitting, working on a computer, walking, writing, kneeling, crouching and climbing stairs. The employee must have good hearing and good vision, including peripheral vision and depth perception, to determine proper fit and operation of parts and equipment and product cleanliness to eliminate sources of product contamination in the clean up process. Connects cylinders to manifold and opens valves to draw off residual gas and evacuate
Reviews and documents proper thermometer, gauge, and analytical equipment calibrations
Fills, weighs, and documents cylinders in accordance with specific guidelines
Performs all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before cylinders are released
Regularly inspects and maintains pumping apparatus and associated monitoring devices
Safely operates a forklift and hand truck
Perform mathematical calculations as necessary
Perform other duties as assigned
Do you have what it takes?
A high school diploma or GED
A minimum of two years' experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment
Good written and verbal skills, especially skills in customer service are necessary
Must have basic computer skills
Motivated and high energy
Formal forklift training/experience is preferred
Ability to read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork
Ability to work outdoors in varying degrees of temperature
Ability to push, pull, or maneuver weights of up to 100 pounds and lift or carry weights of up to 50 pounds
Ability to perform work during prolonged periods of standing (up to eight hours) is necessary
Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motion is also required.

Job Description & Requirements
The Filler Operator is responsible for ensuring optimum quality products through the operation of the filler of various product families following regulatory standards, ensuring the product is clean and sterile.
Clean, set-up, operate and monitor equipment of the production line.
Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks.
Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of product.
Make adjustments to filler timing and filling, & check mat as needed.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
Collect required samples needed for Quality Assurance testing.
Ensure that the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced.
Will have working knowledge and experience with labeler operations; watching for jams and effectively threading wrap to prevent downtime due to error.
Perform filler and filler line changeovers in a safe and efficient manner.
Complete cleaning checklist once line has completed run.
Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed.
Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's.
Analyze process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot.
Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area.
Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
6 months related experience required.
Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Must be able to stand, walk, push or pull for virtually the entire shift.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally including overhead.
Must be able to work in a wet environment. Some exposure to cleaning chemicals.
Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to pass all pre*employment screens (including drug, background and criminal checks).
