12 months/240 days per year. Pay rate is at Manual trades Job Group 7 on the SAISD Compensation Plan. Entry level is at an hourly rate of $19.37 with additional consideration for directly related experience.

Primary Purpose:

To assist in the attainment of District goals through effective and efficient maintenance and repair of all industrial kitchen appliances in school facilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Certification for Certified:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency).

  • City of San Antonio Journeyman HVAC license or current State Air Conditioning License, Class A or Class B (Class A preferred) with Refrigeration Endorsement (C)

  • EPA Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certified on Types I, II, and III (Universal Certification required)

  • Valid Texas Driver's License with a good driving record (must meet and maintain liability coverage eligibility)
