This opening is for the Inland Empire. As a Claims Team Manager within our Claims department you will:
Coordinate, direct and overseeing the Claims Team – Auto Damage Field Appraiser.
Supports the Claims Operation by providing service pursuant to the policy by handling claims of material damage, property and/or liability lines of insurance written by the Interinsurance Exchange in compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
Manage and coordinate a claims team to ensure cost control, appropriate loss payments, training, staffing, performance measurement, and continuous implement.
This management position serves as an instrumental component of the day to day activates within the claims unit.
Key accountabilities include leadership, support, and coaching to ensure compliance of regulatory and statutory requirements, and technical and customer services best practices.
Review claim files regularly for quality.
Track and monitor all statistical measures and behavioral indicators to evaluate Claims Reps performance (e.g. file review, audits, reports and complaints) along with coach and counsel employees on performance in a responsive and timely manner.
Resolve variety of customer service issues through communication and interaction.
Implement effective ways (internal/external) to monitor and evaluate customer concerns, issues, satisfaction and anticipate customer needs.
Manage employee recruitment and development effectively.
Identify and implement staff development and training needs to support an effective succession plan.
Lead meetings in collaboration with unit management to communicate goals with direct reports and reinforce/monitor behavior that furthers technical and customer service performance expectations.
Maintain knowledge of current industry developments and best practices. Participate in committees and projects that will support the organization's goals and objectives.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

This exciting job appraises and investigates customer reported damages. Receives electronic appraisal assignments, through initiative and follow-through, setting appointments with customers for appraisal completion will be required.

Under moderate supervision, this remote position typically appraises damaged autos to completion and provides quality customer service throughout the appraisal process while maintaining compliance with internal and external quality standards and state specific regulations.Primary Job
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Inspecting, photographing, and appraising damage to automobiles damaged in an automobile accident or weather related loss.
· Verifies and completes total loss documentation where necessary.
· Provide quality customer service and ensure appraisal quality, timely inspections and communication with customers.
· Provides technical advice on vehicle repair, parts costs, garage expertise.
· Completes auto repair facility and independent re-inspections, supplements as warranted to verify damage or confirm repairs are completed.
· Utilize appraisal software tools in accordance with department guidelines. CCC knowledge a plus.
· Share experience and knowledge of creative resolution techniques to improve the claim results of others.
· Apply established appraisal protocols and metrics to all estimates; document the rationale for any departure from applicable protocols and metrics with or without assistance.
· Review and evaluate estimates written by a 3rd party.
· Effectively and efficiently manage loss adjustment expenses.
· Update appropriate parties as needed, providing new facts as they become available, and their impact upon the claim process.

Mandatory Requirements Successful candidates will have 3-5 years of experience appraising vehicles. You will need strong customer service skills as you will be responsible for meeting and greeting the body shop owners working on our fleet as well as discovering new body shops to add to our vendor list.
Excellent communication skills are needed as you will also be in contact with the body shops regarding the body damage, preparing administrative paperwork for the fleet, salvage packages, and will be responsible for quality control when work is being performed on the fleet. The preferred candidate would be ASE certified for Body Damage estimating or ICAR certified. A working knowledge of the Mitchell 6.0 appraisal system is a plus! Candidates who have experience working with insurance agencies appraising vehicles which have been involved in accidents and have damage which requires repair.
