Purpose:
The purpose is to for supporting U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Knowledge Management (KM) operations. Responsibilities:

  • Provide a version description document (VDD) specifically to address what core functionality and/or capability is being provided in a particular version of a product that is being delivered. Release notes will be provided for all hot fixes identifying new features, changes, fixed bugs, and any additional known problems that are not otherwise addressed.
  • Provide new or updated user manuals and comprehensive technical documentation for each new application functionality. Additionally, the Contractor shall provide the policy and/or procedure underpinnings necessary for the government to publish official documents that dictate processes, procedures, and security requirements associated with each development effort.
  • Provide assistance to the Government for the preparation of training materials to include delivering the user manual, demonstrating new product features, providing sample test data and preparing scripts to support training objectives.
  • Perform application development work in a non‐production environment. A pre‐release and/or staging environment that closely matches the production will be used to host applications for user testing and evaluation. The Contractor shall provide consulting services and technical support for the creation and maintenance of a test and staging environment.
  • Direct Customer Support. The Contractor shall provide technical support for the users of software and applications. The Contractor shall coordinate resolution of trouble tickets assigned to them, and when required, escalate functional problems through the NAVSOC REMEDY trouble ticket management system.
  • Indirect Customer Support. The Contractor shall provide help information on the SharePoint portal for NAVSOC end users and other support personnel to use to reduce the number of elevated trouble tickets.
  • Training Support. The Contractor shall provide classroom and desk‐side instruction on all share information environment software and applications.

    We are now hiring a team of Primavera P6 Schedulers for a long-term government contract, based in the Maryland suburbs just outside of downtown Washington, DC.  The Primavera P6 Master Scheduler will work within a functional team that includes project managers, risk management specialists, budgeting specialists, and other critical staff members.     Primary purpose and function of this position: The Master Production Scheduler is responsible for developing the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory.Performs supply chain functions with emphasis of production planning, supply demand balancing and inventory management & control. Responsible for providing the site with a monthly production plan that is consistent with the site capacity and forecast. The forecasts, new business bids, customer expectations, and internal supply constraints will be used to develop production plans, by month, for a rolling three month period.

    • Develop, publish, and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS), balancing inventory, resources, and capacity to meet customer needs.

    • Develop and maintain a detailed production schedule by work center to achieve the MPS.

    • Make delivery commitments on MTO products, which involve verifying forecasts, checking material and availability of capacity.

    • Analyze and update system planning data such as lead times, batch size, time fence, etc.

    • Perform supply demand analysis and capacity planning each quarter, highlighting areas of concern for the next 12 months.

    • Negotiate corrective actions to product schedules when dictated by changes in business.

    • Identify and communicate constraints that may impact achievement of the MPS. Whilemaintaining finished goods inventory at target levels in ensure high customer service levels.

    • Participate in new product project teams, representing materials, scheduling, and plant capacity concerns.

    • Monitor performance to MPS and adherence to customer service level commitments.

    • Develop and document planning policies, schedule rules and procedures to ensure consistent Master Scheduling performance.

    • Act as liaison between Production, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Management, Product Development, Technical Services and Demand Planning to control the Master Schedule.

    • Timely reporting of key metrics

    • Perform other duties as required.

    Qualifications

    Education and Knowledge Requirements

    :

    Education Level: (minimum) + BA/BS degree

    Preferred Areas of Study and Skills: + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Administration, Supply Chain Operations or related discipline an asset.

    • Experience in managing manufacturing processes, productivity, and efficiency measurements + APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) an asset + Demonstrated knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle & SAP an asset)

    Similar or Related Experience Desired: + Six (6) years’ experience in production planning, master scheduling and shop floor scheduling in a multi-process environment.

    • Experience in pharma industry with manufacturing and packaging of especially Oral Solid Dosage forms.

    Essential Skills and Capabilities + Sound knowledge of Supply Chain processes such as planning, replenishments, forecasting, advanced planning, inventory management, and master data maintenance.

    • Well motivated individual with excellent initiative, leadership and interpersonal skills.

    • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reason and influence at all levels.

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.

    • Ability to lead problem solving and improvement teams.

    • Proficient in MS office applications.

    • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

    • Ability to work with different cultures.
