The Pre-Construction Engineer is entry level and typically filled by an upcoming or recent college graduate. This position will be responsible for creating the best energy management solution for our customers. To do this, the candidate will have the opportunity to learn about building management, security management, and network management solutions. They will also learn how to tender manage customer RFPs (request for pricing) by coordinating bid requirements, such as material cost, labor, subcontractor, proper risk mitigation and proposal presentation. He or she will interpret plans, specifications, and develop solutions that maximize profitability and add value for the customer while adhering to the company's quality and approval processes.
This role works under direct supervision of a remote Pre-Construction Manager. Collaboration with sales and operations is critical to the delivery of a complete package for our customer. Tool Grinder/Induction Heater A
Tool grind operators setup, operate and adjust numerous types of conventional or Computer Numerically Controlled grinding equipment, utilizing drawings, sketches, specification documents, pre-planned control media and/or program documents to fabricate, inspect, refurbish, alter and/or sharpen tools.
Employment in this position also requires carrying and lifting less than 10 pounds, finger manipulation, handling, rotation of head/neck, sitting, standing, walking, contact with metals, exposure to noise and atmospheric conditions, and the use of personal safety gear for face/eye, ears and feet.
Obtain appropriate tool drawings, specification documents and/or sketches, as required.
Ensure that the correct grinding wheels, set-up tools, or fixtures are available for use and are free from visible defects.
Identify type of set-up required or run previously set-up job by reviewing work order, tie-in sheets, operators or setup documents, drawings, sketches and/or CATIA plots.
Check machine set-up and/or parts completed by previous operator to determine progress on a job and ensure safe working conditions, as required.

Load and unload grinding wheels following machine or program information or set-up documents, using tool holders, grinding wheel hubs, spindle tapers, hand tools and/or lifting devises.
Load and install tools to be manufactured or altered and fabricate as required.
Set machine coordinates or index points per conventional machine documents or CNC documents, including cutter offset/compensations, tool heights, and probes, using controller keyboard, digital readout; height blocks, and shims, as required.
Run CNC programs to machine grind precision cutting tools following NC documents, as required.
Adjust machine settings to correct grinding problems or to prepare machine for next operation in sequence, including; head, spindle, or wheel angles.
Perform minor editing of CNC programs per shop requirements.
Monitor machine during operation for unusual vibration or sounds, watch machine gauges and controller display or digital readout for warnings, visually check wheel path and clearance to ensure smooth operation.
Perform hand honing and other bench work necessary to complete assigned work.
Check own work after completion of each operation in job and/or completed job to ensure tool features are complete per drawing, specification documents, or sketches and that there are no defects.
Handle and protect components and assemblies in accordance with shop procedures and drawing requirements.
Use precision optical and physical measuring instruments to verify correct cutting tool geometry.

Apply adhesive strip to backup roll and insert backup roll onto automatic splicing unit of press to prepare paper for automatic splicing. Remove roll of leftover paper from press after automatic splicing. May operate mechanical truck to transport rolls of paper to press area.
May assist with some of the make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as hanging plates, examining plates, prepping and installing blankets, adjusting tension, etc. Clean press and install press components to maintain press in working order. May prepare loads of flat stock for a sheetfed press.

General Description. A Quality Control Technician is an hourly-rated skilled craft position that performs on construction projects any combination of the duties described more fully, below. A Quality Control Technician typically performs a wide variety of tasks, transferring from one task to another as the work flow dictates.
This position is responsible for controlling the quality of the production of hot mix asphalt through inspection of the plant, production materials, and jobsite review as well as conducting routine and special laboratory testing to ensure conformance standards
Proficiently and accurately sample and conduct visual inspection and laboratory testing of construction materials according to the appropriate standard test methods to insure quality control of products at the point of production, shipping and arrival on the jobsite
Test methods include but not limited to DOT regulations.
Communicate and document test results to plant operator, supervisor and operations
Review mix designs and product to job specifications of upcoming projects
Perform jobsite inspection, customer service and trouble shooting as needed
Prepare various QC reports and formulating specific recommendations to resolve or correct quality issues
Visually inspecting stockpiles, materials sources, plant and truck loads at plant sites
Conduct testing and assisting in plant inspection and calibration to insure the proper quality of the product

Tender Quotations Specialist
Mission Statement: Create and complete bids/estimations/quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget in order to achieve both market competitiveness and high margin for the Company. Maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers that are present in the area of responsibility.
Professionals ( > 2 years of work experience)
1.Formulates competitive bids/estimates/quotations, taking into account best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation. Ensures tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs.
2.Manages the preparation of all technical (e.g. defining the most suitable technology and product type(s)), financial (e.g. total price sheet, cash flow analysis) and if necessary project management (e.g. quantifies hours of engineering and commissioning) aspects of the bid/estimate/quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions.
3.In accordance with bid/estimate/quotation planning, ensures that inputs for editing activities are provided on time and according to established quality procedures. Manages external services to support bid/estimation preparation such as translations and governmental approvals.
4.Collects and archives documentation regarding the offer/order and records assumptions and decisions taken during the development process. Regularly reports the status of the bids/estimates/quotations using defined tools and collects and analyses the reasons for tenders being lost and won.
5.Identifies potential risks in the bids, quotations and estimates, and in any related contract agreements across customers/channels. Provides information and/or participates in the Risk Review process in accordance with ABB policy.
6.Responsible for collecting and collating all information needed to prepare the proposal, including both technical and cost elements.
7.Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer needs. Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process. Provides any necessary technical support to Sales Managers during technical meetings with customers.
8.Identifies potential vendors for equipment and materials required in the project and technically evaluates supplier offers to check match with specifications. Collaborates with Supply Chain Management to coordinate requests to subcontractors.
