Job Summary: Concrete Technologies is currently seeking a full time Paving Equipment Operator, this position generally works 45-50 weeks per year with some out of town work required. The right candidate will possess the skill to manage, operate and maintain a diverse line of heavy highway concrete paving equipment. Detailed Description of Duties: + Responsible for managing equipment maintenance including lube and oil changes.
Equipment repair, including, but not limited to trimmers, pavers, placers, and spreaders + Knowledge of operating all major company equipment.
Assures all operators perform post start and pre-start equipment reviews.
Keeps equipment clean and polished.
Is proactive in maintenance and repairs. Is a troubleshooter. Does not allow broken down equipment. Schedules vendors to repair equipment or supply parts when authorized by the production manager for fast and efficient repairs.
Minimizes equipment downtime.
Operates and maintains the equipment per the manufacturer’s manual.
Must possess and or willing to obtain computer skills proficient in Gomaco Mainline Paving Equipment, skid loaders, etc.
Must assist crews in daily production activity when equipment work is complete.
Can administer equipment maintenance repairs and lubrication.
Must be professional in appearance and demeanor. Education & Work Experience Required:

UNICOR is a government cooperation which employs inmates in manufacturing and producing a variety of goods and services for sale to other government agencies. A primary purpose of this position is to train and supervise inmates in the manufacturing of plastic laminate and wood furniture and other products of various styles and designs. The duties of the position include manufacture and assembly of case good word furniture, including desks, bookcases, wardrobe lockers, lamps, credenzas, desk trays and tables.
Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and is performed on a regular and recurring basis.
