|Basic Function: Under the direction of production supervision, the Production Assembler I build the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, meeting company production standards, and customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures.|
Typical duties/responsibilities for operations may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assemble products, following Engineering documents, ensuring the highest quality products, meeting company product standards, production goals, and customer specifications and delivery requirements.
Operate computer to check schedules, update manufacturing status of jobs.
Perform operator based Go-No Go testing per procedures.
Continually monitor quality of parts used in the assembly process.
Assist in the training of other employees, addressing and resolving inquiries and problems.
Perform material handling activities as required.
Review assembly processes and methods and recommend changes to ensure the continuous, ongoing improvement of productivity and quality.
Interface with engineering to accurately communicate information.
Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, reject tickets, etc.
Participate actively in team meetings and group discussions.
Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
Complexity of Tasks: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
The hours are Mon - Friday 6am to 2:30 pm plus overtime.
The pay rate is $13.00 an hour.

This involves assembly of sub-assemblies and finished parts with small components consisting of such items as handles, springs, screws, nuts, covers, housings and switches in accordance with product specification sheets, drawings and methods, schedules, and customer needs.

Assembler desired experience:
Must have a safe work ethic. Safety is first priority.
Possess the ability to work from drawings and verbal instructions.
Be able to work from scissor lifts and other man lift devices. Training will be provided.

This is an entry to mid-level position responsible for assembling components, including truss, roof, floor, or panel systems. Stocks lumber and plates and other work-related materials and supplies, bands/stacks finished products.
Essential Job Duties:
Lays out component supplies and materials on carts or floor.
Stocks plates for component set-up.
Assembles components under the direction of the line leaders
Loads and bands finished materials on carts/pallets inside and/or outside.
Maintains work area by keeping it neat and organized.
Assists in the set-up of component assembly process.
Monitors production workflow process assisting other areas as needed

Trained to operate all equipment necessary to the assembly process

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Minimum education required High school education and/or equivalent work experience.
Minimum experience required Prior carpentry experience helpful
Special skills required Must be able to read a tape measure and use a hammer. Ability to learn to operate equipment such as routers, saws, presses and staple guns.
Physical demands include exposure to extreme temperatures, lifting up to 50 lbs on a repetitive basis and up to 100 lbs or more on occasion. Dusty and noisy environment when operating woodworking machines and tools. Ear protection required when exposed to noise for an extended period of time, eye protection and hard sole leather shoes required at all times. Overtime work could be involved.

- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience
Coordinate repair and troubleshooting of welding equipment with Production Shop Supervisor/Manager.
Coordinate with Production Shop Supervisor/Manager daily workload, set-up, and production of products while always following blueprints to meet product specifications, tolerances and quality.
Maintain accurate/legible records of production and machine operations.
Maintain courteous and professional relationships with fellow employees, supervisors, vendors, and contractors.
Maintain product quality and coordinate deviation corrective actions with Supervisor/Foreman immediately.
Maintain tools, gages, ovens, inventory, equipment and welding shop in a clean, orderly and safe manner at all times.
Set-up and operate SMAW and GTAW machines and associated equipment to weld metal parts according to work orders, blueprint layouts and verbal instructions.
Perform any other tasks as assigned by Production Shop Supervisor and/or Manager.
Perform fabrication and welding as needed on Cameron equipment.
Welding is in accordance with ASME Section IX boiler code but Cameron performs in house testing.
Minimum Job Qualifications
High school or Technical School Diploma or GED.
Oil, gas, petrochemical industry experience preferred.
Demonstrated welding ability, either by actual documented work or successful graduation of welding technical school.
Minimum 6 months welding experience using stick and TIG welding.
MIG welding is okay but is not required.
