Assembler Aircraft - Structures

Determines procedure and sequence of installation, assembly, modernization, repair or rework, by referring to blueprints, operation sheets, and other manufacturing information. Establishes the location, fits and installs systems and accessories using various aircraft fasteners and techniques where mating, locations, and coordination of parts, assemblies and equipment are critical factors.

Makes continuity and functional checks of systems for malfunction and for specifications compliance, required to drill ream countersink and install aircraft fasteners and all necessary repairs, adjustments, and replacements. Standing/Sitting: Requires full time standing with limited resting periods and to walk distances.

Sit for extended periods if required. Heights: Able to work at heights. Able to climb stairs or ladders as required.

Job Summary The successful applicant should have experience with building and designing new femtosecond laser experiments to probe carrier, electron-phonon interactions, exciton dynamics. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with material scientists to probe and understand surfaces and interfaces of new developed chemistries and heteroarchitectures.

The incumbent will have expertise in various ultrafast spectroscopic measurements, as well as experience designing and building new ultrafast spectroscopic probes. Additionally, the successful candidate should have expert proficiency in data analysis, simulation of ultrafast experimental results, ultrafast laser sources and methods, as well as data collection, simulating experimental results, and writing of manuscripts. . Required Education, Experience, and Skills Must be a recent PhD graduate within the last three years. .

Preferred Qualifications A recent Ph.D. in physics, chemistry, optics, or the equivalent. Direct experience with ultrafast laser experiments is preferred. .

United States : New Jersey : Whippany Role Value Proposition: MetLife’s Structured Solutions Unit assists the Company to use derivatives to solve ALM challenges. We support the derivatives trading desk, which includes CSA discounting, funding value adjustment, derivatives pricing and counterparty exposure optimization. We also function as the internal derivatives consulting group and provide quantitative derivatives solutions to many groups across MetLife. The Candidate will have the opportunity to work with risk management, ALM, finance, treasury and gain broad exposure.

Key Responsibilities: + Development of trading desk models for Interest Rate, Foreign Currency, Inflation, Equity and Hybrids.

  • Manage the on-going maintenance of Numerix Cross Asset Server.

  • Implement next generation, service-oriented analytic technology to support the real-time analytic needs of the XVA desk.

  • Work with International Liability Product Management teams to review deal structures and model new product offerings.

  • Partner with Liability teams to refine and enhance capital markets assumptions in liability pricing.

  • Work closely with Variable Annuity Hedging Team to provide financial engineering expertise as it relates to new products and risk analysis used in the teams dynamic hedging strategy.

  • Assist in structuring trades for the trading desk, as necessary.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: Required: + Advanced Degree in a Quantitative Discipline, preferably in the hard sciences, mathematics or financial engineering + 7 years experiences in derivative products, particularly rate and equity derivatives + Detailed knowledge of the Libor Market Model, Hull-White Model, Heston Models, OIS and dual curve stripping, volatility surface construction, convexity adjustments + Practical experience with Credit Value Adjustments and Potential Future Exposure + Candidate must be able to demonstrate proficiency in object oriented programming + Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines while multi-tasking + Good communication and presentation skills Preferred: + Proficiency in Numerix Cross-Asset

Major Job Elements: + Operate as a subject matter expert on structured cabling projects.

  • Conduct site surveys to provide input into estimates for proposals, and review and summarize bid documents.

  • Define work for field crews daily and ensure all activities are performed in adherence with the Project Plan.

  • Ensure all subcontractor activities are performed according to Purchase Order and Contract.

  • Provide technical information to the field crews by translating structured cabling drawings/prints into tracking spreadsheets and create cut-sheets.

  • Attend on-site meetings with GCs and customers as necessary.

  • Coordinate material inventory and deliveries.

  • Identify all issues requiring PM attention along with their urgency and overall impact to the project.

  • Notify the PM in a timely manner of any pending or actual changes to the work performed that may impact costs, schedule, contract, or customer relationship.

  • Track all details related to changes to the work to ensure all accurate and timely Change Order Requests can be submitted.

  • Identify and coordinate with PM on manpower and other resources required for the construction.

  • Responsible for all site safety, health and security.

  • Scheduling and conduct Last Planner Meetings, when applicable.

  • Set crew tasks and specify hand-offs + Make Work Ready

  • Coordinate and get commitment from participants + Maintain alignment and initiate action items to make sure everything is completely ready to go for near term work.

  • Organize and file all site documents, including daily work reports and project close-out deliverables.

  • Perform field Quality Control functions.

  • Responsible for Contract and subcontractor quality site documentation.

  • Assemble and manage punch list in cooperation with the customer and ensure timely completion of outstanding items.

  • An Active Top Secret Clearance with Lifestyle Poly REQUIRED.

  • Minimum 3 years construction experience.

  • Minimum of 4 years low voltage, structured cabling design experience.

  • Experience directly managing craft labor.

  • Thorough understanding of construction industry practices, processes, standards.

  • Thorough understanding of EIA/TIA Standards required.

  • Competent computer skills and a working knowledge of email and Excel spreadsheets.

  • A Degree in Construction Management and/or Project Management coursework a plus.

  • BICSI and/or RCDD certification is a plus.

  • Industry Certifications (CommScope, Hilti, Tyco, Panduit) preferred.

  • Understanding of Microsoft Project Scheduling tool a plus.

Analyst, Structured Finance

Overview The Analyst, Structured Finance will be responsible for assisting the deal team with accumulating information for loan processing, ordering reports for use in the due diligence process, preparing the credit memorandums for submission to the credit committee, and assembling complete loan files for examination by the underwriter. The Analyst, Structured Finance is also responsible for assisting the Structured Finance Underwriting team with the analysis and evaluation of potential structured products. Responsibilities The Analyst, Structured Finance will have the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: + Review and analyze financial statements, tax returns and cash flow statements of borrowers and guarantors + Assisting underwriters in the completion of analytical spreadsheets and underwriting narratives in preparation for loan committee.

  • Completing financial and credit reviews + Interface with credit, portfolio, operations and product specialist personnel, as required, to facilitate the underwriting, closing, and transition of prospects to portfolio management + Engage outside parties for collateral reviews, appraisals, background checks, and accounting due diligence, as necessary + Perform on-site due diligence through property inspections + Managing company loan files + Tracking loan applications + Gathering information for supply and demand analysis + Reviewing all application documentation and property information

  • Communicating with other Arbor departments in the coordination of underwriting, closing, and managing structured loans. Qualifications Education:Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or a related discipline Experience:Minimum of one to two years of experience in finance or related field; previous experience in real estate, risk/financial analysis, valuations, relationship management, workouts, capital markets and rehabilitation are a plus.
