The Electrical Assembler assembles and performs 12 volt wiring on consoles, T-Tops or cabins, and performs troubleshooting duties.
Assembles and wires consoles, T-Tops or cabins.
Assists assembly employees with troubleshooting electrical problems as needed.
Fills in to cover absenteeism on all product lines, performing various tasks such as installing electrical wiring and components, installing hardware, and all other assembly functions.
Converts red-tagged boats to ensure shipping commitments are met
Ensures proper procedures are followed and quality standards maintained
Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area
Follows all procedures and safety rules
Performs other duties as required
Must follow proper procedures in the safe handling of hazardous wastes, which may be generated during the manufacturing process
Knowledge and Experience Required:
Minimum of three years of experience in electrical assembly or equivalent preferred, with strong preference for those with multiple line and work station/cell experience
Electrical certification preferred
Must possess extensive electrical knowledge
Must be proficient in troubleshooting electrical problems
Must be proficient in reading blueprints and schematics
Previous industrial training or teaching experience preferred
Marine assembly experience highly preferred

Aluminum Welder Duties/
Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors.
Operate welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc (Tig Welding), gas metal arc (Mig Welding), stick welding or resistance spot welding. Processes include stainless for food grade, aluminum and carbon steels.
Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.
Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.
Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools.
Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes (Tack-weld fitted parts together).
Lay out and examine metal stock or work pieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.
Align and fit parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers.
Locate and mark work piece bending and cutting lines, allowing for stock thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and other component specifications.
Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, or bolt straps, or bolt parts in position for welding or riveting.
Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
Move parts into position, manually or with hoists or cranes.

Start rate: $19.35 Per Hour + $.70 per hour shift premium for Swing shift (2:30PM to 10:30PM, Monday – Friday + O/T as required). The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations: Performs operations to nail, belt, expand, flatten/stress relief, and trim aluminum core details to customer-defined dimensions.
Operates a variety of custom expanding equipment, large band saws with moving tables, large power shear, hot glue applicators, powered lift equipment and a Programmable Logic Controlled oven. Performs any MRP transactions as required. Performs set-ups, first part checks and any specific nailing, belting, expanding, trimming and when necessary stress relief of Aluminum core slices to meet customer requirements.
Uses a tape measure, a dial caliper, 6" rule and micrometer. Uses visual inspections and sales order review specification list to ensure product meets customer specifications, especially in regards to length, width, thickness, and cell count (cells per inch). Uses a computer and calculator to compute and enter data for MRP transactions. Enters proper temperature and timing on heat stress oven to assure optimum flatness of core.
Transports product by hand, powered lift, and manually powered cart. Ensures that products meet customer specifications and expectations.
