Electronic Assembly Testers Needed For 2Nd Shift Openings

Job DescriptionKelly Services has partnered with an aerospace manufacturer who is in search of Electronic Assembly Testers for 2nd Shift. The shift is 3:30 PM to 12 AM Mondays through Fridays and there is some overtime and sometimes work on weekends with advanced notice.

The pay depends on experience and pay rate ranges between $13-15/hour.This is a long term opportunity. Some contract positions have lead to the person getting hired on.RequirementsRequirements for the position:Minimum 3-6 months previous related experience

Will be expected to use the computer to do daily data entries for labor hours

Will be expected to work both in a team environment and independently

You will use blueprints and will need to read them and understand them in order to perform tests, operate test equipment and conduct visual inspections

You will be assembling small parts (plug relays into equipment for testing) so you are expected to have good eye-hand coordination

Equipment that you will use includes microscope and hand tools including tweezers and a pin vise

CURRENTLY SEEKING EXPERIENCED FINISHERS who have a worked in a CNC job shop or machining facility.

DUTIES:

  • Perform a variety of operations to remove burrs or sharp edges.
  • Polish, grind, buff, and clean production parts.
  • Read and understand assembly blue prints in order to assemble parts.
  • Execute very specific pressure tests using specific testing equipment.
  • Follow work instructions.
  • Comply with safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to utilize hand tools, operate overhead cranes, lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires a high school diploma/GED or equivalent.

JOB SUMMARY

In this job, you will be responsible for testing a variety of medium to high-voltage switchgear units and subassemblies. You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous productive activity, meet requirements within time constraints, and be held accountable for the quality of your work. This job requires constant attention to detail, good oral and written communication skills, and good problem-solving skills.

Tasks require electrical and mechanical aptitude, a high degree of eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion. You will use hand and power tools; occasionally work while standing on ladders; and occasionally work inside tight compartments.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Using high voltage and high current test equipment.

  • Using specialized, computer-assisted test equipment.

  • Applying mathematics to solve electrical formulas.

  • Verifying the integrity of wiring, wire harnesses, and sophisticated electromechanical assemblies.

  • Reading and evaluating electrical schematics and circuits.

  • Using computers to configure electronic controls for testing and to meet customer requirements.

  • Completing detailed production checklists and production reports.
