The primary responsibilities include:

  • Prepare foam panel assemblies for foaming machine by obtaining work direction from MII and determining correct order to prep kit of panels and determine which panels require internal features.

  • Assemble blowers and fans and prepare them for installation in the units.

  • Assemble framing, shelves, Hx drain pans, interior U-channel walls, filter racks, furnace bumps, hoods and hardware, mist eliminators and sleeves, perforated inner panels, condenser guards, grating, and VFD cabinet cut outs. Prepare these components for installation in the units.

  • Assemble doors and prepare them for installation in the units.

  • Operate the aluminum extrusion saw to produce component parts in accordance with part drawings and within predefined tolerances while following safety guidelines.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Ability to set up and safely operate equipment effectively: welder, stud welder, shear, accupress, bandsaw, chopsaw, frame crimping machine, aluminum extrusion saw.

  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and read measuring devices.

  • Push, Pull, and weave welding skills.

  • Ability to read and understand instructions and interpret information from cut lists provided.

  • Ability to complete paperwork required by operations.

  • Ability to distinguish the various types and thickness of material.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Description of major duties and responsibilities of the role.

  • Works in one of four (4) job assignments in the classification performing a variety of functions related to the manufacture and assembly of medical kit components.

o Molding, Tipping, Assembly, and Coating

  • When performing work in each of the job assignments:

o Obtains appropriate process documents for operation to be performed from set-up person or supervisor.

o Locates required components and verifies identity and quantity.

o Performs operations as described, utilizing the specified gauges and measurements to verify quality.

o Completes various production documents such as Production Control Sheets, Machine Log, and SAP DHR.

o Packs completed components in appropriate containers as required to maintain product quality or meet customer requests.

o Identifies completed components and delivers to QA or next operation.

  • When working in the Molding assignment:

o Loads component blank or cannula into molding machine.

o Activates machine cycle.

o Removes Completed parts

o Inspects or gauges parts

  • When working in the Tipping assignment:

o Cleans component blanks

o Trims blanks to proper length when required.

o Loads component blanks and activates machine cycle.

o Unloads, trims, and inspects or gauges completed parts.

o Loads and unloads even with corrugated parts.

o Replaces core pins when necessary.

  • When working in the Assembly

Position Summary

2nd SHIFT The Component Prep Attendant supports production by performing component and equipment washing, assembly and sterilization for use in the manufacture of sterile injectable products.

None Essential Duties & Responsibilities Percentage of Time 1. Process required supplies of stoppers and over seals.

Clean, assemble and inspect equipment for filling, including surge tanks, pumps, manifolds, nozzles, and associated tubing and fittings. Assemble equipment to specific drawings for specific Filling lines. Perform equipment rinse water testing utilizing a Conductivity Meter. 30% 2.

Loads equipment into the appropriate washers according to the validated loading instructions and operates the washing equipment. Load autoclaves according to validated loading patterns. Operate and monitor the sterilization cycles to ensure they meet the program parameters. 20% 3.

Complete documentation, status labeling and logbooks. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness. Troubleshoots problems in specified areas, as required. 15% 4.

Prepare and integrity test all filters used in production. 10% 5. Perform cleaning of classified and CNC areas in compliance with SOP’s. Prepare cleaning solutions and must be able to accomplish all daily, weekly, monthly and restoration activities for ISO Class 7 and CNC areas. 10% 6.

Properly dispose of hazardous waste. 5% 7. Certified to surface sanitize/sterilize equipment, supplies and tools required for class 5 & 6 use. Passivate equipment, as required.

Maintain dedicated equipment program, ensure equipment inventory is accurate and etched appropriately. 5% 8. Verifies and maintains a record of material that moves through Component Preparation. Stock gowning materials for Class 7 clean room areas, as required. 5% 9.
