Electrical Assembly is responsible for assembly operations including wire harness assembly, soldering, box build, and electrical accessory assembly according to customer specifications and to meet a high level of quality standards.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical components into subassemblies and finished goods by performing specialized work steps in order to meet customer driven requirements.
The effective use of a variety of specialized hand tools to complete assembly as instructed.
Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.
Perform tests on assembled products using testing equipment if required.
Complete and maintain required training in accordance with customer and electrical industry standards.
Be able to follow directions and work with little supervision to complete work requirements in a timely manner.
Excellent attention to detail.
Must be authorized to work in the United States. International Traffic in Arms Regulation/Export Administration Regulations (ITARE/EAR clearance is required.)
High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred. Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency will be required to take a pre-employment assessment to be considered for the role.

SUMMARY: Electrical Assemblers complete the body wiring of the fire truck. This position includes all the wiring from the lights, generators, light towers, and AC accessories.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reads blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings/renderings, and receives verbal instructions regarding work assignment.
Aligns and assembles parts such as leads, coils, wires, tabs and terminals into housing.
Routes and laces cables.
Installs components and parts such as switches, coils, transformers, relays, transistors, ballasts, and semiconductor circuits on panels, and other units.
Routes and attaches wires and connectors to form circuitry and connects assembly to power supply sources, switch panels, or junction boxes. Attaches hardware and seals assembly.
Examines parts for defects: both visual (chips, scratches) and operational
Tests unit to locate defects, measure performance, determine need for adjustment and verify specified operation.
Replaces defective component and wiring.
Assembles and calibrates fixture according to specifications.
Ability to work cooperatively with others.

Under limited supervision, perform a wide variety of potting and molding operations to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.
