Job Title: Electrical Assembler
Reports to: Production Manager
Electrical Assembly is responsible for assembly operations including wire harness assembly, soldering, box build, and electrical accessory assembly according to customer specifications and to meet a high level of quality standards.
Assemble electrical components into subassemblies and finished goods by performing specialized work steps in order to meet customer driven requirements.
Minimum Job Requirements:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be authorized to work in the United States. International Traffic in Arms Regulation/Export Administration Regulations (ITARE/EAR) clearance is required.
At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting.
Other Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required:
The effective use of a variety of specialized hand tools to complete assembly as instructed.
Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.
Perform tests on assembled products using testing equipment if required.
Complete and maintain required training in accordance with customer and electrical industry standards.
Be able to follow directions and work with little supervision to complete work requirements in a timely manner.
Excellent attention to detail.

Aircraft Assembler Electrical (RF3062) provides effort to execute planned activities concerning the addition of electrical subsystems within the aircraft frame. Follows the optimal production sequence as outlined by the ME and IE. Reports deviations and non- conformance in process or product.
Determines procedure and sequence to establish the location, fits, installs and hook ups of major units of electrical systems including equipment, harnesses, panels, and accessories where the location and coordination of assemblies and equipment are critical factors. Uses jigs and fixtures to locate equipment, panels, and accessories.
Layout location of points. Install preassembled wiring harnesses in conformance with predetermined routing, fasten in place with clips, brackets and other holding devices. Hook-up wiring to equipment, panels, relays, and accessories.
Makes continuity checks on primary installations. May be required to repair defective harnesses including crimp and solder.

Complete electro-mechanical assembly and packaging of pumps, bridges, dryers, electrical components and related equipment in an accurate and timely manner.

Manufactures electronic assemblies by performing various operations to include but not limited to SMT soldering and repairs, through-hole soldering and repairs, wire termination, cable harness assembly and cable harness installation and box integration.

Awareness of area's of classification(ie. Class 1 Div 1 groups CD, Class 1 Div 2 groups CD), Nema enclosure designations and proper grounding technique.
Ability to perform high and low level temperature soldering.
Familiarity with tools.
Ability to identify and read values of common electronic components.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and electronic schematics.
Versed in circuit theory and is able to identify and perform component level troubleshooting.
Advanced soldering and wire crimping skills.
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- 5 + years experience as a general electrician that would be required to understand and wire from a schematic/drawing.
