On a production basis, performs electronic and/or electromechanical assembly work of moderate complexity and limited scope.

Responsibilities include:

The Electromechanical Mainteance Tech will:
  • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment used in the manufacturing process. Perform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance of manufacturing and warehouse equipment.
  • Conduct research for spare parts options and vendors that meet Safety, Environmental, Quality, Cost and Delivery (SEQCD) standards.
  • Submit purchase orders for spare parts and maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Dismantle, adjust, repair, assemble and rebuild equipment, electronic system, circuitry, and computerized systems according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
  • Maintain proper documentation of work (Work orders, PM check sheets, part usage, etc.)


Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Minimum of 2 yrs electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience, including A/C inverters and frequency drives, hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge and troubleshooting experience, required
  • Technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Two years electrical experience in electrical and electronics troubleshooting preferred.
  • Experience with PLC’s, welding, and machining a plus.

PURPOSE: To maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all production equipment in a timely manner to control downtime costs. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical functions, mechanical drive units, industrial hydraulic and pneumatic powers, plumbing architectures, PLC’s and ladder diagrams, AC and DC circuits, electrical sensors and switches, motor controls and servo controllers, safety circuits which include E-stops, light curtains, floor mats, safety relays and safety switches. PC knowledge for upgrading troubleshooting and machine functions via touch screen controls and machine operation software (including G-code & M-code Programming) * Knowledge and use of hand tools and machine shop equipment, the proper use of all test equipment used to perform all Multi-trade repairs of production equipment as well as dust collection and material handling equipment (pallet lifts and fork trucks). * Evaluate equipment for any repairs, enhancements, or upgrades and complete work as needed.

  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled, and document finished work.

  • Contact vendors, order parts, and keep inventory of replacement parts on hand for all equipment.

  • Machine implementation including, rigging, leveling, facilities (air, hydraulics, dust collection and safety) along with testing and modifying as needed to prepare machine for production.

  • Fabrication and installation of all needed fixturing, guarding and any machine parts needed. This included one or more of the following: design, layout, sheet metal work, welding, machine shop work, carpentry and painting.

  • Work with Management to schedule and complete requested work.

  • Repair of pneumatic drills and screw guns, routers, saw motors and bearing assemblies for lineal slides and spindles.

This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities/Duties + Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical breakdowns.

  • Design and document basic electric circuits, and specify parts.

  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and equipment failures.

  • Rebuild equipment, gearboxes, pump systems, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems.

Required Education + High School Diploma or GED, further training or education is preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to support 24-hour production operations + Ability to work in confined spaces, at various heights, and in prevailing weather conditions.

  • 2-5 years of related industrial electrical and mechanical experience + Good knowledge of PLC's to be able to trouble shoot.

  • Have general knowlege of computer, operating and network systems.

  • Understand the basics of working around and using High Voltage equipment.

  • Understand the basics of microprocessor-based equipment, loop controllers, VFD etc...

  • Understand electric power formulas and the National Electric Code.

  • Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics + Experience welding, Mig and Stick.

  • Must have a current valid state driver’s license.

  • Must pass a DOT physical.
