What You'll get to Do:
The Precision Electromechanical Assembler performs all levels of mechanical and electronic assembly of fiber optic sensors. Additional responsibilities includes; splicing and routing optical fibers, reading and recording power
measurements and some soldering. Disassembles, repairs and reassembles precision assemblies and corrects malfunctions. May assemble and modify prototype precision units for engineering personnel. Performs fine detail
assembly with small parts. Uses precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specified tolerance. And, may monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Electromechanical Maintenance Technicians - Manufacturing

Qualified candidates will possess:
- At least 2 years of technical education with a minimum of 2 years electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience (i.e. PLC and relay systems) in a manufacturing environment required.
- Must have experience troubleshooting electrical circuit systems along with hydraulic and pneumatic repair skills and knowledge of A/C inverters and frequency drives.
- Experience in preventive maintenance systems, welding and mill/lathe experience preferred.
- Must have basic math skills including decimals and fractions.
- Must have good English communication skills required, with the ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Summary: Works with hazardous materials and explosives. Provides instrumentation and mechanical support for the set-up and conducting of destructive and non-destructive test. Generally works in the test lab, but may be required to support testing of an out-of-plant test facility or to travel in support of engineering demonstrations. Receives work assignments from the Engineering Services Supervisor.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Fabricates or modifies electrical/electronic equipment, cables and/or test fixtures, or test aids.
Understands and applies different soldering techniques required for repair and build-up of connectors, cables, etc.
Selects and integrates pressure transducers, thermocouples, photoelectric cells, LVDT's and other sensors into test set-up.

- The position is full time (40 hours per week) on first shift (6:00 – 2:30) Monday through Friday at our facility located at Chandler AZ 85225.
- This position is responsible for performing incoming testing of customer owned instruments, troubleshooting electronic and mechanical instrument problems and doing calibrations on multiple types of moisture analyzers.
- The ideal applicant would be self-motivated and technically competent in troubleshooting to board level, would also be able to de-solder and solder components from circuit boards efficiently. A de-soldering test will be given. Our company is ISO–9001 certified and any background or prior knowledge of ISO standards is helpful.
Electromechanical Technologist - Test Equipment (Experienced)
What Your Job Will Be Like
Department 2588 is seeking an Electromechanical Technologist to support neutron generator automated test equipment development. As a member of our team, you will be working with software and hardware (electrical/mechanical) engineers on the development and maintenance of mission critical testers for the Neutron Generator Enterprise. You will be joining a team whose core values include timely delivery to our mission and continuous improvement of our processes.
Primary Tasks Include:
Designing, fabricating, modifying, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide variety of electronic and electromechanical instruments and systems
Supporting the development of novel diagnostics and their implementation
Supporting continuous improvement efforts
Operating test equipment and conducting equipment tests
Qualifications We Require
Associates degree (or higher) in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of experience and education
Experience in electrical, electronic or electromechanical systems
Able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-Level security clearance
