Job Description
We are looking for a full-time Oracle Application Administrator to deliver web-based applications in support of the US Department of Justice (DOJ). We are looking for a customer focused individual with the ability to work independently. The successful candidate will work to deliver new Oracle Application servers for the development team as they migrate 16 applications from Oracle 11g to 12c and consolidate these applications from a remote to a centralized data center. This is a fast paced environment with a lot of direct customer interaction with government supervisors. We need someone with the drive to work independently and strong knowledge of the installation and configuration of Oracle Forms and Reports on WebLogic with Oracle databases on RedHat 6.
Duties and
Responsibilities include support of development teams in software deployments to
pre-production and production environments consisting of the building of new VMWare instances, installation, and configuration of new Oracle Forms and Reports servers and deployments of Oracle Forms and Reports solutions. The qualified candidate will be responsible for the investigation, resolution, and explanation of system issues. The candidate will also be required to deploy and implement enhancements that will improve the reliability, maintainability, and performance of the system and its infrastructure. In accordance with customer's security policies and directives, the candidate will deploy, maintain, and enhance the security of solutions through administrative, preventive, detective, and reactive controls, such as change, configuration and patch management.

Under the direction of the supervisor, the Form Grinder B sets up, adjusts, and operates a variety of gear grinding machines to grind precision gears and shafts having close tolerances and finish requirements according to specified dimensions and company quality standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following, other duties may be assigned.

Read machining instructions or set up sheets to determine fixtures and grinding wheel to use, machine settings, gear dimensions and tolerances. Tooling and operating sequence are provided. Install specified change gearing.

Clamp work piece in chuck or fixture, or press it on arbor and mount between centers. Set feed rates and rotation speeds of wheel and work piece in relation to each other. Operate gear grinding machine; make adjustments as needed.

Add a flow of coolant to process to maintain the proper temperature of the work piece. Frequently operate more than one gear grinding machine. Dress, mount, balance, and change wheels as needed.

Master and perform Nital Etching procedure. Use micrometers, indicators and various other precision measuring equipment to set up, adjust, and check dimensions. Assist in analyzing gear grinding machine problems; notify supervisor of any machine or quality problems.

Maintain gear grinding equipment; perform preventive maintenance as needed. Process all necessary documentation and paperwork for parts completed. Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures.

Comply with all quality and safety regulations.Qualifications QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Requires one to three years of trades training or equivalent experience and two to four years of related machining experience. Requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and percent.

  • Builds partnerships with IT teams and vendors to ensure written code adheres to company architectural standards, design patterns, and technical specifications.

  • Leads, mentors, and trains other technical resources to develop software applications.

  • Assists with project estimation throughout the PLC.

  • Takes responsibility for the accessibility, retrievability, and security of specific subsets of information. Provides advice on the transformation of information from one format/medium to another, where appropriate. Maintains and implements information handling procedures. Enables the availability, integrity, and search ability of information through the application of formal data structures and protection measures. Manipulates specific data from information services to satisfy local or specific information needs. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum two (2) years experience in middleware development and integration.

  • Minimum three (3) years experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (e.g., SDLC).

  • Minimum one (1) year in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field and Minimum six (6) years experience in software development or a related field. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years experience working with XML.

  • Two (2) years experience with J2EE, Java Stack, and/or .NET development technologies.

  • Two (2) years experience in object oriented application development.

  • Two (2) years experience using SQL or similar query language.

  • One (1) year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above)
