About Silent-Aire

As a privately held family enterprise, Silent-Aire has been designing and manufacturing Custom HVAC and CRAC systems for over 20 years. We specialize in the Healthcare, Industrial and Data Center markets.

Primary Focus

The Assembler will be required to perform tasks involving physical labor at an assembly plant, and will be required to operate a variety of hand and power tools. Responsibilities will include the assembly of products using bolts, screws, clips, rivets, and assorted fasteners. The Assembler will be responsible for the efficient production of products according to established procedures, following all safety protocols and workplace policies.

Work schedule includes: First shift M-Th 5a-330p Second shift M-Th 3:00p-1:30a Weekend/Part-time shifts.

Shift Differential of 5% on top of base rate for 2nd shift and weekends

Specific Accountabilities

  • Read schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams.
  • Ability to identify power tools, drills, and saws, and hand tools.
  • Ability to measure and mark surface to lay out work, according to blue prints or drawings, using tape measures, straight edges or squares, and marking devices.
  • Bolt, screw, clip, weld, or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment.
  • Position and install parts, subassemblies and accessories using hand and power tools and other aids like overhead hoists.
  • Clean and perform preparation of assembly line.
  • Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
  • Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g. safety glasses, safety boots, etc.).
  • Regularly works near moving parts.

Silent-Aire was born out of Co-Presidents Dan and Lindseys parents heating and ventilation contracting business. They started working for the family business as teenagers and experienced the true power of air when their facility was wiped out by an F4 tornado in 1987.
At it's root Silent-Aire engineered and manufactured custom HVAC solutions for institutions; hospitals, schools, and recreational complexes. The company grew into larger industrial HVAC deployments for mining and energy companies. Fiber Optic Assembler

Our clients include integrated oil companies, major mining multinationals, as well as several of the world's largest global electric utilities and power-generation firms. Position Summary

Use applicable interface devices and appropriate test equipment to monitor digital central offices and associated facilities.
Make decisions and take actions to insure uninterrupted service.
Respond to system messages and associated alarms to determine the root cause of network problems and to take appropriate corrective action.
Analyze switch performance, system faults, customer reports, initiating corrective actions when necessary.
Perform routine testing both on site and from remote test facilities, sometimes coordinating with other departments, customers, and other interconnecting telco personnel.
Maintain technical documentation, office records, drawings, archived printouts, and site logs.
Interpret and input complex software translation changes for system upgrades.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on power distribution systems, including battery plants.

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
1-4 years of training/experience/education
Extensive knowledge of associated central office systems including: transmission, special circuits, T-carrier, fiber optic, and power distribution.
Ability to interpret schematic diagrams, office drawings, engineering change notices, circuit layout designs, technical manuals, and procedures.
Ability to climb ladders, to lift and maneuver 50 pounds, to differentiate colors, to use computer keyboard/mouse and a valid Alaska drivers license are critical for movement into this position.
