Summary: This position is responsible for working as part of a team assembling sheet metal control house buildings using a variety of hand and power tools. It requires knowledge of the whole assembly process to enable each team member to rotate through all or most tasks rather than being assigned to a specific task on a permanent basis.
Rotate through all the tasks required including; screwing panels together, installing insulation, using power tools such as drills, grinders and plasma cutting equipment, etc.
Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
Determine project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials, according to blueprints, drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on material, such as roofing panels, according to drawings or templates, using calculators, squares, and measuring tapes.
Fasten seams and joints together with bolts, rivets, caulks, and metal drive clips to assemble components into product.
Drill holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets.
Assemble and fit prefabricated parts to form subassemblies.
Sweep and organize work areas.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of sheet metal structures.
Ability to interpret blue prints and drawings.
Mathematical skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, fractions and using a tape measure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? Perform field observations of the Contractor's activities to ensure that the project is built according to the Plans and Specifications
? Review plans and specifications
? Prepare daily inspection reports
? Observe, document, and record daily activities
? Prepare and submit field quantity records for payment
? Attend weekly project site meetings with the Contractor, Client staff, other consultant staff, franchise utility companies, and others associated with the project construction as required.
? Assist in providing training and technical assistance to new and less experienced inspection personnel.
? Perform a variety of inspection, materials sampling, and documentation duties on a construction project including:
o Inspecting earthwork, including embankment, excavation, and installation of pipe culverts
o Concrete placement in structures and on flat work

o Inspecting guardrail, catch basins, and sign installations

Education & Experience:

Company is now hiring for a Production Supervisor. This position requires Sheet Metal Fabrication and Job Shop experience in a fast paced environment. This is a multiple task, deadline based environment, therefore flexibility is necessary to maintain multiple projects, as well as reevaluate and change priorities quickly and efficiently. The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing all production personnel, with the goal of efficient, accurate production in a short lead time. Experience with these operations is helpful: CNC Turret Punch Press, CNC Laser, CNC Press Brake, Welding, CNC Machining, Powder Coating, Assembly.
Duties include supervising production by:
1. 2+ years of supervisory experience in a Sheet Metal Fabrication Job Shop environment with sheet metal- 1/8'' and under.
2. Experience with these operations is helpful: CNC Turret Punch Press, CNC Laser, CNC Press Brake, Welding, CNC Machining, Powder Coating, Assembly.
Unit Build / Encased Coil Assembly
The assembler works in teams of 2 people. Two of them lift an encased coil spring mattress assembly (40-45 lbs. each) from the floor and place it onto the waist high table. The semi-rigid foam pieces which are pre-cut are inserted into the perimeter of the spring assembly and are hot glued together (use of hot glue gun). The process is repeated approximately 15 times per hour for a 2 person team.
