Physical Effort: Work is frequently performed in tight quarters with squatting, bending, and lifting at odd angles. Constantly stands and walks on steel surfaced decks, which can be slippery from oil film, water, and ice and are subject to vibration while vessel is under operation. Frequently required to lift weights up to 50 pounds. Uses coordination of eyes, hands, and feet and also of legs and body in installing, repairing, or testing equipment.
Working Conditions: Work is performed inside subject to abnormal noise requiring noise arresting safety equipment, heat, smoke, fumes, irritations from oil and grease, burns, cuts, bruises, and abrasions while attending moving machinery, electric shock, etc. Outside work is subject to extreme heat and cold, falls on slippery decks, wind burn, rain, snow and sleet, and possible drowning. As required, wear appropriate personal protective equipment; i.e., safety glasses, hard hat, and life preserver, when outside on deck.

We are seeking a Field Service Representative who will be required to perform both in shop and field service work in the underground mine environment. Plans and coordinates activities concerned with installing equipment, investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems with equipment, and eliminating future operational or service difficulties by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Travel to customer sites to install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance to customer's equipment to include flooded and sealed batteries, chargers and DC power distribution equipment (cable trays, battery racks and power cables).

Employee will need to work with mine personnel to receive rides to and from sections and get access to machines. Employees working in the mining field will be required to submit to initial medical testing and periodic medical testing thereafter as a "requirement " of the position. This testing may include a Pulmonary Function Test, a chest x ray, audiograms, blood tests, and if required by regulation or other business needs, this medical testing may be expanded as deemed necessary by EnerSys to ensure employees health and safety is protected.

Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, for durations of 2 to 3 weeks
Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or other Engineering Discipline
At least 5 additional years of experience in an Engineering position
Minimum of 3 year of experience with control strategies & development.
Experience in control implementation & validation
Experience with multi-location teams involved in design and validation activities
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
