Glues, fits, and clamps parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit. Drives nails or other fasteners into joints at designated places to reinforce joints. Sands and scrapes surfaces and joints of articles to prepare articles for finishing.

GLOBAL FOUNDRIES is looking for a highly motivated entry level engineer to work on the Customer Tape-out Engineering (CTE) team as a Frame Engineer located in Burlington, VT. You will be responsible for developing frames bordering internal or client supplied chip designs to support the generation of semiconductor testsite and product masks primarily for, but not limited to, Fab 9 (Burlington, VT) and Fab 10 (East Fishkill, NY). Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering content within the frames using various computer aided physical design tools and scripting abilities. The successful candidate will enjoy a variety of assignments that may include developing automation to generate frames, electrical and optical structures that are also known as Process Control Monitoring (PCM) structures, contributing to test efforts for our unique frame software and infrastructure as well as evaluating and optimizing our engineering development processes. This role requires a close working relationship with the engineers that use semiconductor manufacturing tools (i.e., lithography and metrology) and test tools in our Fabs. The successful candidate will also enjoy delivering continuously improving products in the increasingly complex world of chip manufacturing as well as be focused on minimizing the cycle time to generate production frames for our high volume technology offerings . Essential Responsibilities : * Engage with Technology Development, Process Integration, Metrology, Photolithography, Characterization, Data Preparation, Design Services, and Mask House teams for specifications to design electrical and optical designs as well as an overall frame structure to be developed.

  • Use or customize Process Design Kits (PDKs) as well as other physical design tools, to generate electrical and optical designs as well as assemble an overall frame structure, to enable reticle level designs to be defined.

  • Verify the accuracy of electrical and optical designs as well as an overall frame structure using Design Rule Checking (DRC) tools or similar custom scripts and work with the specification owners to gain approval by the Waiver Review Board (WRB) when applicable.

  • Use or customize internally developed software code and commercially available software tools to generate documentation as well as numerical files that drive automation within our Fabs and Mask House.

  • Help communicate inputs and assess progress to our project schedules.

To work with our company in this position you must enjoy working with people and building things. You should have much awareness of electrical, plumbing, heating, roofing, concrete trades and anticipate their needs on the job. If you live in the Corte Madera, SanRafael, Mill Valley, Oakland, East Bay areas, this position is for you! Responsibilities: • Mastery of framing skills including layout and construction of walls, floors, stairs, and roofs. • Self-starter, able to get results with minimal supervision • 4+ years' experience • Very strong organizational skills and problem solving skills • Be socially adept, have a positive attitude, and able to work with others • Read structural and architectural building plans • Have UBC code awareness • Act professionally with clients and other workers Qualifications: • Basic Spanish helpful but not mandatory • Able to lift 100 pounds and pass physical for construction related work • Must have your own tools and truck • Good social skills- ability to work closely with others • Ability to come up with solutions, think on your feet Benefits: + Competitive wages + Full medical, dental, and vision health insurance + 401k, with a percentage of wages automatically donated to thefund by SRF + PTO (personal time off) + Sick Time + Interest-free tool acquisition
