GLOBAL FOUNDRIES is looking for a highly motivated early career engineer to work on the Customer Tape-out Engineering (CTE) team as a Frame Engineer located in Burlington, VT. You will be responsible for developing frames bordering internal or client supplied chip designs to support the generation of semiconductor testsite and product masks primarily for, but not limited to, Fab 9 (Burlington, VT) and Fab 10 (East Fishkill, NY). Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering content within the frames using various computer aided physical design tools and scripting abilities. The successful candidate will enjoy a variety of assignments that may include developing automation to generate frames, electrical and optical structures that are also known as Process Control Monitoring (PCM) structures, contributing to test efforts for our unique frame software and infrastructure as well as evaluating and optimizing our engineering development processes. This role requires a close working relationship with the engineers that use semiconductor manufacturing tools (i.e., lithography and metrology) and test tools in our Fabs. The successful candidate will also enjoy delivering continuously improving products in the increasingly complex world of chip manufacturing as well as be focused on minimizing the cycle time to generate production frames for our high volume technology offerings . - Monitor that running process is running according to Machine Plastic Set-up Sheet/Machine Process Monitor Log
- Monitor and react to the tracker System for rate and scrap.
- Report deviation to a standard or process and then institute the root cause for the deviation.
