  • Must have 3+ years of previous electrical assembly experience.
  • Must have experience in computer wiring and understand computer systems.
  • Must have experience with hand tools: pliers, screwdrivers, and crimp tools.
  • Must be able to read and follow instructions.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Soldering or electronic troubleshooting experience a plus.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 6 month of solid work experience (manufacturing preferred)

  • Ability to operate various equipment (i.e. scanner, boxes, box cutter, tape gun, Fed Ex shipping portal, manual lift. Etc.) + Able to read and write in English language; basic arithmetic skills.

  • Solid communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team are essential.

  • Safety Awareness and thorough knowledge of proper lifting procedures; with the ability to stand for up to 8 hours as well as exert physical effort for weights up to 40 lbs.

  • Ability to maintain engineered standards. Flexibility in work schedule is also required for possible overtime, work on holidays, weekends and extended hours with minimal notice and as required by operational need.

  • Support packaging operations by supporting line leaders in day to day production of customer products.
  • Assure quality of products produced by following instructions from line leaders and specifications from batch recorders.

Director Database Production and Product Assembly
The Database Production & Product Assembly team (DPPA) is responsible for the creation and ongoing support for all EIS database products. DPPA drives the data ingestion, aggregation and enhancement of content, and publishing of databases to EIS’ customers. We ingest a variety of structured and unstructured data for eBooks, journals, newspapers, databases, (you name it), etc., provided to us by our publishing partners.
