TYPICAL DUTIES 1. Manually load cartons, partitions, carriers onto magazines of carton assembler, carrier erector, partition inserter and sees that these machines continue to operate and function as designed to do.

Involves some button pushing. 2. Turns off equipment in case of malfunction and notifies supervisor or repairman. Checks for tab locks. 3.

Unjams machines and conveyors by stopping it and removing materials. 4. Inspects and observes cartons, carriers, partitions for obvious defects, checks fiber tears; notifies foreman of any defects found and records on carton quality check sheet. Discards defective cartons to waste bins. 5.

Checks missing bottle detector and counter. Fills missing bottles and re-serve on line. Involves pushing buttons. 6.

Removes wrap and straps from pallet load, cuts bands. Unloads cartons and carriers from pallets. 7. May manually fold and assemble cartons and insert interior packing (Pads, liners, partitions, etc.) into assembled outer carton. 8.

Gets and carries glue bags to work area. Opens and dumps on bins. Scoops to fill glue pots making sure that automatic machines are filled with glue. 9.

Performs carton salvaging. 10. Stacks up on assembled cartons for emergency cases. 11. Attends casepacker by unjamming making sure operating properly.

Notifies maintenance or foreman of any problems with equipment. 12. Cleans equipment with air hose to keep clean. 13. Keeps work area clean and orderly. Position Requirements:

Kelly Services is currently hiring a Equipment Assembly Production Technician for a contract position located in St. Louis, MO
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the routine performance of operations in support of the manufacture of commercial and clinical biologics.  These support activities consist of equipment assembly operations – example:  assembly of equipment, process lines, filter housings, filter integrity testing, autoclaving equipment, seal testing of vessels, visual inspections, execution of autoclave validation protocols, environmental cleaning, etc.  Must be a self-starter.  Technician typically works 8-10 hour shifts. Must be open to a flexible schedule.                                
Essential Job Functions

  • Preparing for and execution of manufacturing batch records, work instructions and/or SOPs, focus on ‘right the first time’ executions (75%)
  • Responsible for completing training tasks based upon a monitored curriculum.  Complete advanced training. (5%)
  • Documentation of all activities to meet cGMP requirements.  Maintain GMP compliance in assigned work. (5%)
  • Complete preventative maintenance and work notifications tasks on time.  Equipment testing, routine trouble-shooting. (5%)
  • Ensure tasks are executed with a method of prioritization – interpret production schedules and complete tasks accordingly.  Including shift exchanges, 1-1’s, meetings email, attend meetings as necessary to facilitate area needs based on changes, etc. (5%)
  • Participate in other required activities (perform safety inspections; participate in improvement projects, etc.) lean activities. (5%)

Education and Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Some college or combination of education and related work experience helpful 
  • Bachelor’s degree plus
  • Proven attendance record
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a related field or industry
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or GMP industry a plus
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English

Job Description Assemble and package medical device products to high quality standards in accordance with all policy and procedural standards of AngioDynamics.

  • Manufacture high quality medical devices with maximum efficiency and minimal scrap and rework

  • Set up work station with necessary equipment and supplies as per job assignment

Responsible for the assembly/build of Zeltiq products that meet product quality requirements and Customer shipment deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Performs electro-mechanical assembly of final products, sub-assemblies and related medical device products by following released procedures

  • Employs high standards of workmanship to ensure high quality products are produced on schedule. Typically works on assignments under the guidance of a senior assembler or lead.

  • Makes recommendations for improvement of production methods and product design issues

  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

  • Must be able to work in a team oriented atmosphere with assemblers, technicians, QA personnel, and engineers, completing tasks and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing. • Performs in-process inspection to ensure products meet specifications and standards.
