  • Must have 3+ years of previous electrical assembly experience.
  • Must have experience in computer wiring and understand computer systems.
  • Must have experience with hand tools: pliers, screwdrivers, and crimp tools.
  • Must be able to read and follow instructions.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Soldering or electronic troubleshooting experience a plus.

  • Solid communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team are essential.

  • Safety Awareness and thorough knowledge of proper lifting procedures; with the ability to stand for up to 8 hours as well as exert physical effort for weights up to 40 lbs.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

  • Support packaging operations by supporting line leaders in day to day production of customer products.
  • Assure quality of products produced by following instructions from line leaders and specifications from batch recorders.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow Safety procedures, policies and report concerns to area manager.
  • Perform task in a manner that meets/exceeds quality criteria.
  • Identify quality problems and stop operating until resolved.

  • Punch pay clock and arrive on production floor no later than start of shift.
  • Punch in and out of production orders as instructed by line leaders.
  • Sign Batch Records as required by SOP’s.

  • Identify mistakes and immediately bring to the attention of supervision.
  • Inspect product for quality attributes as instructed.
  • Load components into equipment as instructed.
  • Assemble components to products as instructed.
  • Load boxes with product.
  • Apply product identification labels, etc. to boxes.
  • Manually apply tape to seal boxes.
  • Perform cleaning duties as instructed.
  • Perform line clearance as instructed.
  • Assist in training of coworkers.
  • Operate minor material handling equipment. i.e. pallet jacks hand trucks,
  • Maintain a clean and neat work area.
  • Support company SOP’s, operating policies, 5-S, AOP Quality and safety initiatives.

QUALIFICATION:

SUMMARY: Performs limited assembly operations and molding assistance of a repetitive nature to build and assemble routine units such as electrical connectors, cable assemblies, and wire harnesses in Lombard, IL. Must be able to work with SMALL parts.

Director Database Production and Product Assembly
The Database Production & Product Assembly team (DPPA) is responsible for the creation and ongoing support for all EIS database products. DPPA drives the data ingestion, aggregation and enhancement of content, and publishing of databases to EIS’ customers. We ingest a variety of structured and unstructured data for eBooks, journals, newspapers, databases, (you name it), etc., provided to us by our publishing partners. This content is used to create research databases used by a wide range of customers from academic libraries to schools, corporations, public libraries and healthcare facilities.
