Typical duties/responsibilities for operations may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assemble products, following Engineering documents, ensuring the highest quality products, meeting company product standards, production goals, and customer specifications and delivery requirements.
Operate computer to check schedules, update manufacturing status of jobs.
Perform operator based Go-No Go testing per procedures.
Continually monitor quality of parts used in the assembly process.
Assist in the training of other employees, addressing and resolving inquiries and problems.
Perform material handling activities as required.
Review assembly processes and methods and recommend changes to ensure the continuous, ongoing improvement of productivity and quality.
Interface with engineering to accurately communicate information.
Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, reject tickets, etc.
Participate actively in team meetings and group discussions.
Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
Complexity of Tasks: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
The hours are Mon - Friday 6am to 2:30 pm plus overtime.
The pay rate is $13.00 an hour.
Medical Device Assembler In Plymouth & Minnetonka, MN
Our client is a global medical device company and they are looking for a Medical Device Assembler for their plant in either Plymouth or Minnetonka, MN. You can choose which location you prefer. You would be assembling sub-assemblies for conformance to applicable drawings and specifications using small hand tools under a microscope. You will be wearing a "bunny suit" with sterile gown, gloves, hair cap, shoe coverings, etc. Both day and swing shifts are available. Training will be provided.

Two shifts are available:
5:00 AM to 3:30 PM (1st shift) or 3:45 PM to 2:15 AM (2nd shift) for 4 days of the week
15.00 for 1st shift, or
15.50 for 2nd shift

-Must be willing to work in a clean room environment (sterile gown, hair cap, gloves, show coverings, etc.)

Pay shall be:
$11.00 per hour for hires with experience.
$10.50 per hour for high school grad’s with no experience.

Basic Function: Under general supervision, performs tasks of substantial variety or complexity which require a thorough knowledge of assembly techniques, tools, materials, machines, and equipment. Works from engineering drawings, rough sketches, manuals or verbal instructions.
Typical duties/responsibilities for operations may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Under general supervision, perform basic and complex assembly, wiring, and erection of products and systems.
Read and interpret engineering configuration and wiring drawings.
Devise and utilize nonstandard procedures.

Coordinate work with other groups to ensure meeting commitments.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain our expensive products and materials clean and un-damaged.
- Perform assembly operations to build light fixtures and accessories.
- Assembly requires riveting using a compressed air rivet gun, siliconing parts, twisting on parts, cleaning finished products and packaging them.
- Depending on skill, soldering of small electronic components for electronic assembly.
- Maintaining work space and assigned tools clean and orderly.
- Help maintaining the warehouse clean and orderly - daily and weekly clean up of your work area.
- Familiarity with materials and components - we will train, but continuous training and learning of new products and materials is required on an ongoing basis.
- Observe and follow safety rules and regulations specific to your work area.
Required experience & qualifications:
- Experience working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tools, including, but not limited to hand tools, torque wrenches and drivers.
- Knowledge of soldering tools, multi-meters a plus!
- Knowledge of electrical systems helpful, but not required.
- Ability to read and follow instructions and understand basic technical drawings.
- Good communication and positive attitude.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Works on a production line manufacturing product. Performs a wide variety of product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. Follows standard operating procedures in the production / assembly process according to design specifications and company quality standards. Visually inspects the unit before passing to the next cell. Works safely and ensures best quality products within current takt times. Fully engages with team and other associates to troubleshoot problems and drive continuous improvement in the plant.
Selects appropriate components, aligns, and assembles them in proper sequence by drilling holes, adding rivets, screws, bolts, braces, tape, cement or solder to meet specifications in accordance to Sequence of Events (SOE). Applies wiring harnesses, sensors, and other electrical components recognizing color codes to insure that wiring and other color coded procedures meet guidelines. Reads electrical wiring diagrams to accomplish accurate assembly. Inspects parts during sub-assembly and at key points to ensure that unit meets specified quality standards prior to moving unit to the next workstation. Verifies that custom equipment changes have been made according to order and part number.
Uses a wide range of hand tools, drill, rivet gun, saw, hy-pot tester, and drill press. Moves units or positions pieces manually or using work aids such as casters, cranes or forklifts.
Cleans and packs final product using approved chemicals, Refers to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to insure safe handling and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used around chemicals.
Reorders raw materials and finished parts and maintains inventory accuracy using the correct part numbers and bin locations.
Performs other duties, provides support and coverage on all operations on line as requested by supervisor. Cross training and flexibility required.
Performs all duties using required safety procedures and equipment according to company policies and practices within guidelines of ISO standards, quality, and safety. Maintains clean and organized work area that supports co-workers as well as safety and efficiency.
Engages, initiates, and suggest initiatives that support team goals and continuous improvement in process.
