POSITION DESCRIPTION: Responsible for using the cooling tubes to cool all product to proper temperatures required by specs without damaging the product.

  • Inspect tube and related equipment daily to ensure company specifications are met. Communicate safety and mechanical problems of cooling tube to Supervisor immediately.

  • Use a forklift to loading and unloading product from the cooling tube on a FIFO basis.

  • Accurately complete and submit daily tube log report, product testing reports, receiving tags and audit tags in a timely manner.

  • Comply with all Company Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety practices.

  • Keep work area clean and sanitize tube at all times.

  • When raining, will have to help expedite the transferring of product to a dry area as soon as possible.

  • Additional projects as assigned by the supervisor.

Preferred Candidate Qualifications: + 2 - 5 years of related experience including 1+ year of 6+ pallet forklift experience required.

  • Must be forklift OSHA certified by Earthbound Farm.

  • Bilingual/bi literate English/Spanish required. Must have the ability to read and follow printed worksheets and handouts in English.

  • Proficient in 10-key by touch and MS Office Suite programs including Word and Excel.

  • Must have basic math skills including the ability to count, add, and subtract.

Setup and operate various sizes of tube benders to bend different size tubes to required shape. Install bend tooling and align properly.

Program bender as needed. Work from job sheet to get proper blank tubes to bend. Use tape measure, super gauge, calipers, and fixed gauges.

Essential Responsibilities + Generate and execute the fabrication production schedule + Work within an MRP system to acquire and analyze manufacturing data + Ensure accurate product completion to meet customer specifications + Implement process improvement through lean manufacturing activities including TPM, 5S, and Kaizen events + Manage periodic equipment maintenance and maintain records of all maintenance activities + Organize and maintain employee training matrix and plan for future required employee trainings + Analyze overall equipment efficiency and implement process improvements + Work with engineering for design and procurement of manufacturing tooling + Review department capacity and make necessary changes to meet current and future requirements Requirements + 5 years of experience managing the process of bending and fabricating precision tubes and pipes, aerospace experienced preferred + Experience managing a multi-shift operation

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or any equivalent combination of experience and technical training + Ability to program and operate CNC tube bending equipment + Knowledge of other tube fabrication processes including trimming, expanding, swaging, and flaring + Understanding of MRP/ERP systems + Familiar with all types of manufacturing documentation including job routers and set-up sheets We are looking for someone with a genuine belief in disciplined processes, including quality assurance methods (AS9100 and NADCAP) and continuous improvement methods (lean manufacturing). Cooling Tube Operator

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  Responsible for using the cooling tubes to cool all product to proper temperatures required by specs without damaging the product.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for using the cooling tubes to cool all product to proper temperatures required by specs without damaging the product.
  • Inspect tube and related equipment daily to ensure company specifications are met. Communicate safety and mechanical problems of cooling tube to Supervisor immediately.
  • Use a forklift to loading and unloading product from the cooling tube on a FIFO basis.
  • Accurately complete and submit daily tube log report, product testing reports, receiving tags and audit tags in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all Company Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety practices.
  • Keep work area clean and sanitize tube at all times.
  • When raining, will have to help expedite the transferring of product to a dry area as soon as possible.
  • Additional projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Preferred Candidate
Qualifications:

  • 2 - 5 years of related experience including 1+ year of  6+ pallet forklift experience required.
  • Must be forklift OSHA certified by Earthbound Farm.
  • Bilingual/bi literate English/Spanish required. Must have the ability to read and follow printed worksheets and handouts in English.
  • Proficient in 10-key by touch and MS Office Suite programs including Word and Excel.
  • Must have basic math skills including the ability to count, add, and subtract. 
  • This is a heavy labor position. Qualified candidates must have the ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform other functions such as standing, walking, sitting, twisting and carrying objects for at least 8-10 hours per day.
  • Must be able to work weekend and evening hours
  • Working conditions include Moderate to high exposure to cold/wet environments (34-36 degrees Fahrenheit), exposure to forklift traffic and loud noises and smell of chlorine


Education and Experience:
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • One (1) to three (3) years cooling tube experience.
  • Ability to speak, write and read in the English language (i.e. digital displays and written documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals); Bilingual/Bi-literate English and Spanish skills preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to work outside and inside werehouse in extremely cold temperatures (34-36 degrees F) and wet conditions.
  • Basic arithmetic skills including the ability to count, add, subtract, multiply and perform basic division.
  • This is a heavy labor position. Qualified candidates must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    • Contribute to a successful food safety culture by following the established guidelines as outlined in the Earthbound Farm Food Safety Policy.

    • Always perform tasks in a manner that protects and promotes food safety.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and overtime as business needs required.
