Description and Responsibilities


: Supply Chain Manager’s are responsible for aligning and driving the strategic and operational supply chain direction of a specified business unit. POSITION SUMMARY:Thisposition receives parts from the supplier, both internally and externally,ensuring a quality finish coating of paint through accurate surface and paintpreparation.The position also performsthe work order kitting and sequencing operations, insuring efficient deliveryof product to final assembly.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1.      Insurance that assembly’s (manufactured parts) arecomplete prior to staging at paint.Parts that are not would require expediting coordination withfabrication or purchasing.

2.      Picking of partsby project from the final stage of fabrication.This would include parts for projects, warranty or replacement partsorder.This process will be driven offof our finite scheduling and capacity planning system.

3.      Participation in the implementation of Total QualityManagement (TQM) and support the ongoing philosophy of Just-In-Time (JIT) inour manufacturing inventory levels.

4.      Communication of stock replenishment requirements(manufactured) to production/inventory control.

5.      Performance of the finishing operation which includesparts preparation, application of paint, and mixture of paint to specificationsoutlined on the Busse work order, customer specification requirements and otherdocumentation.

6.      Proper and accurate completion of labor reports,material issues, kit lists, scrap reports and material moves.

7.      Performance of cycle counts as prescribed by the Control Center.

8.      Interpretation of work orders, blueprints and bills ofmaterial.
