Unicircuit is currently seeking a Sr. Process Engineer- Wet Process/Plating to join their team in Littleton, CO.
The Sr. Process Engineerwill develop and execute process strategies for plating and chemical processes related to the production of printed circuit boards.  The duties include design, layout, and improvement of plating processes, monitoring overall process operations and developing solutions to a broad range of technical problems applying chemical and mechanical engineering principles, theory, and concepts.  This senior process engineer will participate in efforts involving concurrent design for manufacturability and alternative process technologies.  A strong focus will be on step-function improvements, new capability/technology. The senior process engineer is responsible overseeing the efficiency and safety of manufacturing processes, as well as developing new processes to improve manufacturing efficiency or decrease its costs.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures revisions to documented procedures.
  • Utilizes multistep model or techniques to deploy best practice principles for process control and product yield for assigned processes.
  • Ensures documentation of processes into work instructions, training guides, certification testing.
  • Ensures the process is cost efficient and performs at the optimum level, to the right rate and quality of output, in order to meet quality and supply requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge on industry standards.
  • Lead capital project efforts which will resolve production capacity and technology capability issues.
  • Work with CAM data in support of any assigned processes.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to meet customer quality and delivery requirements.
  • Support customers and internal design reviews to ensure compatibility of processing techniques.
  • Complete required annual safety and RCRA training as required for position guidelines.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering. 
  • ​Training in Lean manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Statistical Process Control, Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is required.
  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience in a plating process environment. 
  • Capability for designing and analyzing experiments utilizing statistical tools and design of experiment.
  • Ability to interface with customers and deal with difficult issues.
  • Significant experience with PCB (Printed Circuit Board) manufacturing plating and chemical processes.
