1st shift 6am-4:30pm $10/hour Monday-Thursday

  • Assembly Operators* to join our growing team! This position will be based out of our Corporate Office located in

  • Bay Minette, AL.* Basic Function: Assembly Operator of reciprocating compressor products to engineering specifications. Improve methods, procedures and quality in the Assembly area. Perform any and all production tasks in the Assembly area as necessary.

Principle Duties: • Assembles reciprocating compressors to include sub-assembly of components. Requires fitting and adjusting of parts and components to meet operating requirements of product. • Inspects for serviceability and proper performance of all component parts or the assembled unit. • Completes all required assembly documentation or reports, i.e. Erector s Report, Parts Order Sheets, Parts Shortage Sheets or other applicable documentation. • Notifies supervisor and Quality Assurance personnel of any irregularities in components or assembled unit that could affect product reliability. • Suggests or initiates change requests for product improvement or ease of assembly to supervision. • Insures quality craftsmanship is maintained at all times. • Meets daily production goals according to unit TACT times. • Works safely, keeps area clean and free of hazards at all times. • Operates power lift truck as necessary. • Makes suggestions to improve assembly area operation, reduce operating costs, increase efficiency and improve quality of product.

May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.Education and Experience: • High School Diploma or GED. • Exposure to manufacturing or mechanical assembly environment preferred.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Be flexible and be a team player. • Ability to use various types of hand and power tools. • Must be able to read and interpret orders, bills of material, production schedule, etc. • Must be able to read various precision measuring instruments as required by the job. • Must be able to read, interpret and comprehend assembly drawings and work instructions. • Must be able to use a decimal equivalent chart and tap drill size chart to determine correct sizes or types of drills and taps to be used in assembly. • Must be able to write legibly and fill out required reports and forms. • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment and comprehend safety instructions and documentation. • Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs., twist, turn, climb, stoop, kneel, push loads, pull on pipe wrenches and work in awkward positions. • Understand KanBan inventory process. • Understand basic math. • Ability to read, write and comprehend English.

Physical Demands: • Required to be constantly moving about the facility (standing, walking). • Lifting of items (not to exceed 50 lbs.). Personal Protective Equipment: • While on shop floor, must wear safety glasses and steel toed shoes at all times. • No loose clothing, watches, jewelry, rings, etc. that could get caught in machines.

Assembly Operator

The assembler position performs direct manufacturing activities in the production department in support of the department objectives to provide goods and services that meet customer s requirements for quality, quantity and timeliness.


Responsible to follow Quality system, including all applicable SOP's included in the Training Matrix

Produce components, subassemblies or final assemblies according to procedures or product specifications.

Prepare station for production, including organization and cleaning of station

Follow written work instructions and manufacturing processes to produce product include drilling, cutting, measuring, mounting, and assembling.

Operate equipment such as adhesive dispenser, vertical shrinker, braider, tipping machines, molding equipment when required

Follow inspection steps and utilize hand tools as required, such as calipers and rulers

Completely and accurately fill in LHRs or forms in support of manufacturing

Maintain good working relationships with other co-workers

Keep track of materials, tools and procedures as the device is manufactured

Inform supervisor of issues or unanticipated non-conformances. Advise supervisor in the event of needed tool or equipment repairs.

Awareness of impact of action to quality of product (defect awareness). Identify defects and communicate defects to supervisor and/or engineer for the product through use of the reject log or direct communication.

Work with little supervision and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner

While following written procedures, support engineering with modifications in written procedures and suggested improvements in making product or sub-assemblies
