DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assemblesvarious parts on an assembly line to create a completed functional productusing their hands and various air tools that meet or exceed both our customersand the company’s expectations in quality.

QUALIFICATIONS AND BASICSKILLS:

  • Ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.

  • Ability to stand up for 8 to 10 hour periods at a time.

  • Able to work where insulation is present.

  • Ability to perform assigned tasks on a moving assembly line within the

      time-restricted breakdown designated for that task.

3Rd Shift Assembly Operator

Third Shift Assembly Operator – Reading, PA We have an immediate opening at our 825 Morgantown Road Facility. Hours are 10:30PM – 7:00AM Monday thru Friday.

Here are the major responsibilities: Read and understand work order/BOM or follow oral instructions to produce a part that meets all specifications. Load and unload plastic parts into die cutter or CNC fixture for trimming.

Remove burrs, sharp edges, or scrap from finished piece using tools such as air hoses, band saws and trimmers. Assemble formed parts using tools such as drills, glue guns, and presses. Inspects quality of finished product and reports quality issues Utilizes devices and equipment to measure finished part characteristics Counts, labels & packs finished parts and transports to final packaging area Works in different workstations as production needs require Inputs daily production information in computer shop floor data collection system to maintain inventory accuracy Clean work station at the end of the shift.

Work with glues/adhesives, paints, solvents and possible other chemicals relating to job specific functions. Perform all work procedures according to established Quality Management & Environmental Management Systems. Under general supervision, perform all required operations to prepare  patterns of medium complexity for the shelling operation.

Work from instructions to assemble patterns and runner systems, position and secure supports, metal chills, and other components and parts. Blend and smooth joints and connections, perform other associated duties to insure proper setup and gating of pattern for molding.
Exercise care in the handling of patterns and completed units to avoid distortion of breakage, and to assure proper positioning of a wide variety of parts, components, supports, chills, vents, gates, and other features.
Upon completion, prepare necessary forms pertinent to operation, and dispose of patterns as directed.

Assemble complete runner systems for wax and plastic patterns; secures sprues, gates, cores, vents, risers, and other supports to obtain desired set-up.

Perform minor repairs, as necessary on patterns under supervision of a trainer or lead person.


               Follow all safety and environmental practices and policies

Perform a variety of other duties and tasks of equal or lesser complexity as assigned by supervisor.

Maintains or exceeds production standards with acceptable quality.



Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings, including background, physical and drug testing.
Must be able to pass visual acuity testing.
