Plan and assign work based on priority and skill requirement. Ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner. Ensure quality levels are at the required level. Foster an attitude of service within the assembly team. Monitor the upstream workload and anticipate varying needs. Follow up on the status of material shortages and schedules. Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, QA, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure jobs move and expectations are met.
5+ Years of experience supervising personnel or equivalent.
Experience with electronics manufacturing or equivalent.
Ability to clearly communicate expectations, requirements, and results both verbally and orally.
3 years of experience with Oracle or SAP or equivalent.
Experience in WIP and inventory management is a must.
Must have an exceptional ability to multitask.
High School Diploma or GED
US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status Required
Experience with electronic assemblies for communication and space applications is desired.
Knowledge of Agile and/or Oracle systems is desired.
Ability to understand engineering concepts for testing and evaluation.
Ability to operate equipment such as wire bonder, microscope, soldering iron, etc.
Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) is a plus.
Experience working in a cleanroom is a plus.

This position reports to the Manager of Operations. As an Assembly Supervisor you will be responsible for identifying opportunities and implementing solutions for continual improvement of Manufacturing processes, Lean initiatives, and Quality compliance and improvement. The role will support production schedules based on product introduction, labor/equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function. Identifies and executes continuous improvement opportunities. The person will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Lead manufacturing team to achieve established targets for on-time shipments (COT).
Maintain high product quality and manufacturing efficiency while ensuring optimal use of resources and adherences to best safety practices.
Lead, coach, and develop approximately 10 - 20 hourly Manufacturing team members. Assure effective team member training.
Monitor Key Performance Indicator's (KPI's) to assure safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.
Help with implementation of and continued adherence to Lean manufacturing and 6S initiatives.
Use structured problem solving methods to identify product and process problems and implement corrective actions.
Assess and analyze current practices and drive improves.
Partner and Coordinate with Engineering, Materials, Sales, and other internal departments to resolve issues and concerns.
Enforce proper material management procedures.
Support and collaborate with other departmental needs from Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Engineering departments.

Associate or Bachelor's degree in a technical field or comparable in depth factory/technical experience required.

5 years assembly experience, preferably in equipment and electronic assembly
At least 3 years supervisory/management experience
Experience with process improvement methods
Experience with quality improvement through the use of APQP quality methods

Under general supervision, the 1st Shift Assembly Supervisor performs duties to oversee and coordinate activities of workers engaged in the production of RhinoAg Agricultural Equipment.
