Press Brake Operator

K&S Manufacturingis a privately held, financially sound and growing company seeking a Press Brake Operator to join our team. This is a full-time position on 1st and 2nd shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be able to read customer and internal drawings.
  • Program, set up, and operate Bystronic or Accurpress Press Brakes.
  • Inspect the parts produced by comparing the parts to blueprint using height stand, calipers, and other specialized measuring devices.
  • Be able to run production efficiently as well as working with engineering on prototyping projects.
  • Work within customer and internal tolerances and specifications.
  • Complete and maintain accurate shop paperwork.
  • Perform daily 6S duties.
  • Minimum of 2 years prior Press Brake experience.
  • Must have excellent problem solving skills.
  • Ability to use height stand, caliper, micrometer, protractor, radius gauge, etc.
  • Must have a solid working knowledge of blueprint reading and shop math.
  • Possess a drive for achieving production, while focusing on safety and quality.
  • Capable of working in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50-pounds.
  • Must be reliable, and have good attendance.

Position Requirements * Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school.

  • Install and monitors thermo-couple wires via computer program and manual recording according to composite parts and specs + Use utility knife safely to cut pre-preg fabric and honeycomb core to be laid up.

    We will provide training in the operation of our printing press and other processes. The press department prints the Albany Democrat-Herald, Corvallis Gazette-Times and a variety of special sections and web commercial print work. Job Description

Moog Components Group has an opportunity for a Punch Press Operator A position - 1st shift at our Murphy, North Carolina location.

Here’s what you can expect in this role:

  • The operator would take roll strip steel & insert it in automatic punch press Bliss 20B and a progressive carbide die, using stock feeder, to stamp out laminations continually

  • Usage of an electric chopper that chops up the scrap strip while the lams are packed in a tube and shoved together

  • Employee inserts a rod and wire into the lams and stacks them on a rack

  • Employee watches machine for jam-ups, analyzes all stoppages, makes all adjustments, does all set-ups

  • Inspects and gages pieces

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Proficient in general math

  • Knowledge of machine shop gages (dial calipers, micrometers, length gages)

  • Experience operating large presses and small bench presses

  • Ability to occasionally lift 60-100 lbs. (with assistance)

  • Ability to wear ear plugs 6-8 hours per day due to noise level in area

  • Ability to work overtime

  • Good eyesight and dexterity

  • No allergies to oils and kerosene
