We are seeking an FUEL CELL ASSEMBLER to become an integral part of our team!
Schedule: Monday through Friday: 8am-4:30pm (minus 1/2 hour lunch)
- Primary responsibility for fabrication and assembly components for use in electrochemical systems, assisting in laboratory tests and various other activities.
- Must be comfortable handling chemicals required for hardware fabrication processes.
- Will be Safely operating drill presses, punch presses,& other manufacturing equipment to assist in the assembly operation.
- Conduct quality inspections on products and parts and maintain proper documentation.
- Perform prescribed preventive maintenance on machines per P.M. charts or logs.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform all work in accordance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines.
- Communicate with test engineers, manufacturing engineers and other associates to address any technical issues.
Minimum Qualifications/ Experience:
- Aptitude for "hands-on" chemical, electrical and mechanical work.
- Comfortable with computers, specifically Microsoft Excel basics (data entry).
- Experience with chemical processing (cleaning, electro-plating) a plus.
- Industrial Experience preferred.
- Prior handling of chemicals in a laboratory, R&D or manufacturing facility.

Experimental Atomic Physicist
Microsemi Frequency & Time Division (FTD) provides world-class timing products. The business unit located in Beverly is the world leader in commercial atomic clocks including Rb oscillators, Cs beam clocks, chip-scale atomic clocks (CSACs), and active hydrogen masers. The Research team consists of a small group of technically-skilled atomic physicists and engineers. The principal responsibility of the group is the development of next-generation atomic clock technology for eventual commercial use. Recent accomplishments resulted in the first commercial atomic clock based on the principle of coherent population trapping and the world's first commercially available chip-scale atomic clock. Microsemi is seeking an Experimental Atomic Physicist at Microsemi-FTD's facility based in Beverly, MA. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, hands-on experimentalist with a diverse range of technical skills, an intuitive understanding of atomic physics, and the ability to combine these into new and innovative technologies. The successful candidate may be a recent Ph.D. graduate (but several years of postdoctoral or commercial experience are preferred) and will join a small multi-disciplinary team investigating trapped-ion clocks as well as CPT clocks. In addition to R&D projects, the successful candidate will provide support for existing atomic clock products including cesium beam frequency standards, rubidium oscillators, and CSAC. Fuel Cell Assembly Mechanics needed for direct hire long term positions.Opportunity to work direct for the premier commercial aircraft manufacturing company in the US. Mechanics in this position perform various procedures to accomplish fuselage and wing joining. Work is performed on composite / metal aircraft with occasional sealing.
Assemble and install parts, structural components and sub-assemblies to build and attach major wing assemblies.
Assemble, install, connect and rework plumbing and electrical components and systems.
Perform continuity checks on wire bundles and electrical components.
Locate work area using drawings which specifies airplane number, section number, and three-point location.
Set up assembly tools per tooling instructions or drawing.
Locate tools and/or parts on airplane using tooling holes, pilot holes, K holes, or by hand, per drawing or tooling instructions.
Align parts and secure in place using Clecos or tooling/hand clamps.
Check for good edge margins and alignment.
Shim and/or trim parts as required.
Drill pilot holes using drill motor and proper size drill bit(s).
Drill, ream, countersink full size holes in parts/assemblies, in proper sequence and to correct size using drill motor.
Disassemble parts and deburr holes using chip chasers, deburring tools, and files to prepare for installation of fasteners.

Prepare, assemble and install tubing, standoffs, valves, regulators, compressors and ducts, using fasteners per drawing.
Install pre-assembled plumbing systems (e.g., hydraulic modules; smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, air, water and fuel systems), using ground straps and wires, clamps, lubricant and hand/power tools (e.g., screwdrivers, torque wrenches, nut runners).
Install wire bundles and electrical components using production illustrations and wiring diagrams. Exposure to aluminum, titanium, steel, magnesium, exotic alloys, plastics, composites and hazardous materials. This position will require working in confined spaces of the wing fuel cells for extended periods. Employees crawl through an opening 17.75" X 10.00" in order to get inside the fuel cell.
