Support selected programs as the primary checker. Primary job responsibility will be to perform document checking functions for mechanical, electrical and electronic packaging engineering drawings and specifications on the various programs.
This selected person will be required to perform all functions associated with the checking process which include but are not limited to format, specification compliance, completeness, accuracy, design soundness, ANSI Y14.5 GD&T standards, EPM standards, fabrication, assembly, installation, and interface validity, tolerance analysis, BOM verification, data management, ECRs and NORs. Person should be proficient in the use of CATIA, ProE/CREO, Windchill, and PLM and have expertise in all areas of tolerance analysis, GD&T, electro/mechanical design skills and Pro-E/CREO model checking skills. Basic Qualifications Candidate must have an Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
Person should have experience in design and tolerance analysis, GD&T and basic mechanical design skills. Candidate must have experience in checking Pro/E 3D CAD models and RDD documentation. Position also requires that this person possess a nominal skill level in all Microsoft Office products.
Agility to coordinate and work multiple checking activities concurrently is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a necessity. Must understand importance of program detail schedules and task tracking / reporting.
Can plan and prioritize work appropriate to schedule. Tank Api-650 & 653 Tank Drafting Designer & Checker
This position will report to the Engineering Manager, Tank Services and will prepare and check detailed drawings of tanks according to specifications provided by customer and industry standards. This position will be located in our Tulsa, Oklahoma office.

Experience in detailing and checking above ground storage tanks for the petroleum industry using API-650 and API-653 design codes.
Knowledge of ancillary equipment (i.e. ladders, platforms, and internals) is required. Knowledge of tank inspection, repair, alteration and reconstruction is preferred. Drafting experience with structural, piping and vessels is a requirement.
Will review specifications and work with mechanical designers to develop control drawings.
Will review fabrication drawings and equipment vendor reports as needed. Ability to read blueprints and schematics produced by AutoCAD
Detail and check small to large tank projects. Be able to take a project from start to finish. Can detail and check any size project with speed and accuracy.
Must be able to perform at a high level to maintain project schedules. Individual requires minimum checking and minimum supervision.
Work with Project Manager to produce high-quality designs for above ground tanks.
Be able to form working relationships with internal and external customers.
Prompt and dependable attendance is required.

Job Description: Sr. Designer- Checker The Senior Designer/ Checker provides detail design, drafting, drawing checking support, and tolerance stack-up analysis for the Engineering Department.
The Designer works under technical supervision of a principal engineer or Engineering Manager. This position primarily interfaces with other engineering associates and applicable departmental assignees (production, sales, quality, program management, etc.). Principal Activities Creates and modifies drawings and recommend changes based on their understanding and knowledge of the project. Designs and creates CAD (computer-aided design) drawings.
