Assistant CAD Designer
- The Assistant CAD Designer will provide support for Facilities Engineering, Operations and Site Services needs relative to the operation and expansion of the Carlsbad, California facility.
- Essential Functions:
- Modify and create CAD drawings related to building layout, seating arrangements, support systems, egress, and other areas.
- Assist in space utilization analysis and optimization of building layout by working with Sr. Facilities staff.
- Update other associated documents in Microsoft office formats.
- Update site utilization and planning metrics in support of space planning strategy.
- Assist in project scope document development in support of Facilities Engineering group.
- Perform other office duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable in Architectural AutoCAD. Shall have minimum of 1-2 years’ experience.

The qualified individual will possess strong Auto CAD Civil 3D knowledge and an understanding of the engineering design work process as it relates to projects in the oil and gas market. Qualifications:

Experience with alignment sheet generation in natural gas, water, or related field required;

POSITION OVERVIEW
Draftsperson to have knowledge of AutoCAD software for Electrical Engineering department.
Primary responsibility will be generating design layouts on site plans and enlarged views of area of work (scaled) for plan check set. Knowledge of electrical single and three wire drawings a must. Drawing(s) are created from verbal, hand sketched, and/or information collected in the field. The candidate should be familiar with NEC code(s) which will help completing single line diagram(s) designs for an electrical permit set and conduit/wire sizing per equipment and length being specified on the site design plan.

Our sister company, Mears Pipeline Construction, is currently seeking an AutoCAD Specialist for their Las Vegas, NV location. Successful candidates will provide design and technical skills to a team of engineers, designers, and planners to participate in a variety of communications oriented projects.
Responsibilities:
Prepare preliminary and detailed designs, drawings and specifications to customer requirements of outside plan network facilities.
Perform field audits of installed gas line to verify measurements.
Prepare construction plans, material requirements, and cost estimates for Outside Plant (OSP) infrastructure and network facilities associated with aerial and underground projects (e.g., conduit, cables, terminals, permits, labor).
General documents preparation, data entry, creating work order construction prints, records posting.

PURPOSE:
Detail commercial and civil projects as it pertains to the supply and installation of rebar.
BASIC FUNCTIONS
Must adhere to Harris Rebar's safety programs and standards.
Demonstrate conduct consistent with Harris Rebar's vision and values.
Continue developing knowledge of industry reference material (i.e. CRSI and ACI manuals).
Verify drawings, dates, specifications, addenda and other contractual information from the routing sheet or directly from the business system.
Working with supervision, begin detailing more complex projects (i.e. jobs with columns, beams, one and two way slabs, and grade beams).
Bring any change(s) made to the contract documents to the attention of your supervisor (i.e. change made of the approval drawings, changes made by the field or yourself).
Detail accessories, mesh, couplers and dowel bars and prepare material lists as required.
Work with job site personnel to determine project requirements for detailing and delivery of material.
Work with A/E regarding problems or questions on contract documents.
Produce the material list for all products from RebarCAD and produce replacement orders as required.
Enter all drawings for submission into drawing tracking system.
Perform other duties as required by your supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting issued from an accredited school or college, or equivalent combination of training and work experience
