Gerber Operator ( Cutting Machine Fabric)
Responsible for assisting in the performance of a variety of tasks related to cutting products related to sewing operations in support of garment prodcution
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Off-loading the gerber of cut fabric
Loading carrousel of stock fabric rolls
Operating the Dell Tech pattern software to retrieve markers
Packaging of cut work directly off the gerber
Management of scrap fabric
Adheres to all quality and safety standards
Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned

This position entails the operation and maintenance of automated production equipment.
Monitoring production includes quality inspections, preventative maintenance, and material replenishments
Set up, continually monitor, and adjust machine throughout production run
Input daily production data into computer system
Monitor machine operation and control panel displays and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions or parameters out of spec. Make appropriate adjustments as required.
Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences
Confer with staff (supervisors or programmers) to resolve machine malfunctions or to obtain approval to continue production process
