Pavements And Equipment Engineer Technician
Provide engineering technical (ET) support for engineers working in areas such as research, design, and development for base real property facilities. Provide technical support to the craftsperson from the Pavements and Equipment shop to resolve problems. Must have hands on experience working with all types of base aggregate, foundation material, concrete of different PSI ratings and the have the expertise to know what materials should be used under specific conditions. Will be the Pavements/Equipment subject matter expert for the Operations flight. Need to have airfield, runway, taxiway and ramp foundation/concrete experience concerning the small area replacement and quick patching of spalls. Have knowledge concerning all paved areas sidewalks, parking lots, curbs, unpaved roads base wide including asphalted areas. Will become a member of the Built Infrastructure Assessment Team (BIAT) working within the Contract Engineering Requirements and Optimization (R & O) section. Will conduct Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs) on base real property (RP) and real property installed equipment (RPIE).
