  • Sales Representatives are responsible for prospecting, estimating, pricing, providing quotations, relationship selling and the development of a geographic sales area.
  • This position will also be responsible for order processing, shop drawings, architectural submittals, change orders and job releases.
  • Sales Reps will canvass Bidding Networks, join industry organizations.
  • Establishing relationships with Glazers, General Contractors and End-users to negotiate the selling of automatic doors.
  • Will work closely with our Architectural and Service Sales Teams to promote sales through specifications.
  • Train on factory products, prospecting and to have an understanding of door hardware and electric door hardware.

The minimum candidate requirements are:

  • Two years’ experience in an outside sales role.
  • Knowledge of the Construction Industry is key.
  • A proficiency in reading plans, specifications, and a working knowledge of Storefronts and Door Hardware are favorable.
  • An established network of relationships in Retail, Healthcare and Hospitality is recommended.
  • Understanding of the install process of doors;


  • Must possess the ability to present as a professional with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and an intense desire to work in the automatic door business are a must.
  • This position demands a results-oriented approach coupled with high-energy, reliability and personal discipline.
  • Computer minimums are: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Outside business-to-business sales in same or similar industry preferred. Successful commercial construction sales experience is preferred.

Duties include:

Assists with maintaining door inventory and will use all reasonable care to maintain the doors in proper and safe operating condition.

Prepares and maintains documentation of all door services performed, including but not limited to, door number and location and a brief description of service performed. 

Remains current on all applicable regulatory standards and laws and maintains all necessary certifications.

Tracks work orders for door maintenance and ensures completion within allotted time period.  Tracks and maintains inventory of spare parts as needed to ensure minimal shutdown for repair/replacement.

Performs preventative maintenance including door inspections, examinations, lubrication, testing, adjusting, and all minor and major repairs of equipment.  Repairs shall include, but not limited to, adjustment/re-alignment of doors and frames, automatic operators, re-fixing sweeps, edge guards, latch plates, kick plates, hinges and frames, locksets, closers, electronic strikes, magnetic locks, automatic push pads, touchless activation sensors, lite kits and panic hardware. 


A high school diploma and three years trade experience that is directly related to the area of employment. 

One year experience in automatic door industry, specifically with service and installation. 

Current AAADM certification or candidacy for AAADM

Experience with repair and installation of manual commercial door hardware including, but not limited, doors (wood, steel, FRP, etc.); frames, doors closers, pivots; hinges, exit devices; locks; weatherproof products; and thresholds.
