The Upholsterer is responsible for repairing and rebuilding upholstered furniture, including table games maintenance.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
Removes, repairs or replaces covering, webbing, padding, springs and ornamentation
Fabricates templates from Plexiglas; measures and cuts new covering cloth
Repairs as needed wooden frame of work piece; refinishes wooden surfaces
Replaces webbing and springs or reties springs
Installs cloth covering over frame on inside and outside of arms and back, seat; sews or tacks ornamental trim to cover or frame
Operates sewing machine to seam cushions and join various sections of covering material
Monitors stock of supplies, tools and equipment and requisitions for replenishment as appropriate
Monitors upholstered stools and other pieces throughout facility for damage and obvious wear
Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibilit
Reupholster/repair Casino Table Games rails
Replace Casino Table Games felt layouts
Install, remove and/or work on all equipment found on Casino Gaming Tables
High school diploma or trade school certificate required. A minimum of three to five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience preferred
Must be detail oriented and well-organized
Must have good eye/hand coordination as well as fine motor hand and wrist movements
Must have a valid motor vehicle license with a good driving record
Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in the back of house of the casino, which can be faced-paced with excessive noise. Also, there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.

This job is responsible for building upholstered marine furniture by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Review scope, ECO and PPW.
Design/develop preliminary specifications: work with designers and mock up team on
determining how styling of upholstery components will be done throughout the project, including
color, wood, micas, and Corian.
Tacks or sews ornamental trim, such as braid and buttons, to cover or frame.
Operates sewing machine to seam cushions and join various sections of covering materials.
Prepare wooden frame of work piece including refinishing surfaces.
Prepare foam for all substrates for buyoff and approval.
Attend Design reviews, Buy-off's, Walk-Thru's, and BOM meetings as needed to give input to build of parts and room
Review, red line and approve finished prints and reverse engineering of parts/ digitizing process as required for your assignment
Boat prep and or Boat deliveries
Boat shipping and loading prep
Cross training in Warehouse, Welding, Maintenance, Block Sanding, Tooling, Master Design, and Water Test areas.
Assist with the design, engineering, and reengineering of all boat components
Work with vendors and Engineering on creating new parts as needed
Work one on one with CAD Designer on model and documentation
Must be able to use the CNC router and Lectra cutter to cut parts for your assignment
Responsible for tracing of patterns and for accuracy at release
Train and/or instruct Plant personnel on build
Build, set-up, and verification of Jigs
Work with vendors on design, validation, patterns, and troubleshooting of parts
Develop warranty and owner's packages with serial numbers of components on boat
Work with plant personnel on DFM for prototype
Availability to travel for warranty work
Must work with the BOM tech to assure BOM is accurate at time of release
Installs windshields, doors and various hardware parts.
Assemble cabinets and various parts constructed from wood or other composite materials.
Installs items such as wood trim, fiberglass finished parts, upholstered finished parts, and install floor coverings.
Apply covering to assembled parts such as laminates and other materials including upholstery parts.
Assemble and install structural stringers, flooring, and bulkheads as well as possible glassing of any hull, deck or small parts as well as, put in all fiberglass parts free fit prior to installation
Demonstrate the proper use of woodworking power tools such as: table saw, band saw, miter box, and various hand tools.
Demonstrating a positive attitude and teamwork is essential.
Responsible for maintaining a clean organized work area and responsible for an assigned clean up area within the Assembly area.
Must follow proper procedures in the safe handling of hazardous wastes, which may be generated during the manufacturing process.

Fabric must be upholstered on the outside smooth to fit the frame properly

The Upholsterer IV performs upholstery and trim completions on complex patterns and prints. This position will research and develop upholstery schemes utilizing blueprints, engineering orders, service bulletins, and other technical publications. He/she may oversee and direct Upholsterer I, II and III Positions and assist the Trim Department Crew Chiefs and Leads.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
The Upholsterer IV is responsible for using sound judgment and technical aptitude when making repairs, modifications or installations.
Customers are present on site at the hangar facilities. Therefore, professionalism in appearance and communication skills are required in order to create a positive and lasting professional relationship.
The Upholsterer IV also has a responsibility to help insure productivity goals (flat rate labor hours and/or time & materials charges) are met while keeping in mind F.A.A. regulations and StandardAero quality standards.
Plans and develops lay-outs for upholstery construction and installation by utilizing blueprints, sketches, service bulletins, OEM or government specifications, engineering orders or other technical publications.
Cuts, trims, fits, sews, and adheres fabrics to furniture and interior surfaces in a manner which is within specifications and is pleasing to the customer (chairs, divans, headliners, side-panels, engine and propeller covers, decorative trim, drapery, etc.)
Strips fabric from aircraft interiors and surfaces to prepare for remodeling and recovering.
Cuts perform foam rubber, covers it with sheeting or fabric covers.
Trim, cut and install carpeting by use of patterns.
Takes the lead in hand-forming wet or dry leather to divans and chairs and in utilizing heat to form vinyl materials.
Coaches and oversees the activities of Upholsterer I, II and III Positions.
Selects and procures materials, equipment and tooling required to perform the work.
Document all work accomplished (a.k.a. "sign-off") in a clear, concise and accurate manner. Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directive as required. Reads and interprets maintenance manual procedures, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams when required.
Responsible for knowing, understanding, following, promoting and continuously improving company practices and procedures.
Complies with all safety practices and participates in facility general housekeeping efforts.
May perform other duties as required by the Department. BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Prior Seat Upholstery experience in the aviation industry, minimum of five (5) years.
Must be proficient in cutting, sewing, stretching, and cementing a variety of natural and synthetic fabrics.
Must have proven technical aptitude.
