Requirements

As an Automotive Technician you will be responsible for performing maintenance services including vehicle inspection and preventive safety checks for autos and light trucks. Other related services will include wheel balancing; tire mounting/dismounting as well as general lubrication and oil filter services. The ideal candidates will:

  • Have the ability to operate standard service tools including hydraulic lifts and air tools.
  • Efficiently and accurately perform quality repair work in accordance with dealership’s and factory standards.
  • Complete system diagnostics and full automotive troubleshooting and testing with an emphasis on European cars.
  • Maintain an organized and neat shop area.
  • Road-test vehicle to ensure quality repair work was completed.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Communicate directly with service advisers regarding the status of the service work as well as the estimated time for completion so that customers can be informed.
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company’s Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors

Qualified candidates are required to have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license and related automotive experience of at least 2 years.

Nortec Humidity is hiring a Field Service Technicians for installations, maintenance and troubleshooting of our industrial humidification and water treatment systems. These are commercial installations used in businesses including data centers, hospitals, libraries, manufacturing facilities, museums, printing plants, and schools. We will train the right person.

Field Service Technician 100% travel nationwide, based out of Columbus, OH

What’s the job?

  • This is a critical customer facing role – you are the face of Nortec Humidity in the field, providing solid installation experience and preventative maintenance knowledge. You work through technical aspects of our equipment with the customer, both in-person and over the phone.
  • You are not confined to a desk. Weekly travel in your region and nationwide is expected 100% of the time, allowing you to work directly onsite at the customer
  • After thorough training, you are responsible for managing your schedule to meet customer and business needs
  • If you like seeing your efforts in your salary, you can expect 50+ hours per week during our busy season, Fall through Spring
  • Primary responsibilities include service and installation of humidification and water treatment systems according to specifications
  • Maintain and repair existing systems using factory procedures
  • Accurate and timely completion of required service reports and customer paper work upon completion of each job
